Search for Fate/EXTRA in Google Images and you'll see how different it's style is from the other Fate series. As far as style and direction goes, they pretty much nailed the "Extra" look and feel. |

| It is not good, it is very good This new saber looks so hot and have very cute voice, I can listen to her all day without getting bored. Also, the fights are entertaining, Liked that Robin hood fights in episode 5 |
| I've liked everything besides Saber in this. Besides Saber, everything else screams Nasu, and I love it. A slightly off main character, unnecessarily detailed and fleshed out setting, a slight mystery plot, focus on "normal" people again, rather than just Heroic Spirits, and a lot of dialogue. The fights are shit, but what can do, it's SHAFT. I never really liked Fate for fights, so it isn't a big problem for me. |
| Visually is nice, but the plot started nice, but now is common!!! The same to me, this series is not bad, but either nice...the same of the last series of this franchisies!!!! |
| I really don't see why people like this. The only good thing about the it is Saber and the OP song. Everything else is lackluster, or even outright bad. The story is a mess, the characters have basically no development to the point where you wonder why you should even care about them, the animation is subpar, and the music is meh. Fate + Shaft should have been a great combination. But, somehow, this is what we got. It's a disappointment to say the least. |

It's rating is pretty bad for a fate series in MAL. I haven't seen a much lower score for a Fate series in MAL before. |

| Faye grand order was a mess and this is even worse. I like the visuals from Shaft but i dont think they are the right studio for a Fate series. The story is nonsense though Fate ultra fans keeps telling me otherwise.sorry folks but there is only so much type moon bullshit I can take. |

| I mean, it'd make sense if you felt like this was like the Monogatari series cause it is the same director And yeah I agree, this series feels more like a mystery thriller approach rather than the actionish approach with F/Z and F/SN |

| Yeah as far as anime onlies are concerned this series is completely broken. I question the tastes of those who haven't played the game and still somehow like this. (The same for people that went from Danganronpa 1 to 3 without playing the second game) |
| If you want a good fate watch the currently airing Emiya cooking show. Easy rating of 1-3 Ramen for me, I started 31 shows this season and this one is the worst, other than the overly complex story which results in classic fate standing and talking about shit and flat characters, it's also absolutely horrendous to look at. From the overly saturated colours littering the backgrounds, the characters ranging from boring looking to awfully disproportionate, that red saber girl reaches some level of uncanny valley that make her easily one of my most disliked character designs (they even managed to make Rin not look hot) and the jaring constant random quick cuts directing that feel like the worst possible implementation of "shaf style" it's an exhausting show to sit through. |
| This anime tries to do a lot with the limited time it's been given but it ends up doing barely anything well, not even the fight scenes are all that good and the things that are semi-decent seem like they're leftovers from other (better) Shaft anime. I get that they're going for a mystery/thriller approach rather than a typical Fate action approach but that doesn't automatically make the mystery interesting or the show good. |

For anime onlies this can only work as a hook to make then intrested to play the games not as a standalone. |

Eh, I have... mix feelings with Extra more than anything this season personally. Like, I like some stuff about it yet I hate some stuff about it. I can pin point everything but... I'm just very very very damn mixed with it :S Yeah, I don't mind if people like it. I actually hate the mindset of "I don't like x, so nobody else should like x" that many people seem to have. The show just doesn't work for me, which I'm surprised is the case. I came into it expecting to like it. But, unfortunately, I don't. |
