Well, Kasumi facing Takasuki about dishonesty in not confessing love was weird (coming from her).
Under the snow confrontation as expected, but surprisingly leading to a love confession! I was in awe when it came out even though it was the logical consequence of her prior speech.

Also, I'm realizing the group of friends really grew on me. They're all a treat to watch.

5/5 Great episode (the best one?) and I'm still not a "fan" of this pair.

Now, a face to face with Katsuhiko?

This isn't just a typical skiing trip episode. It had some actual development.

We got to know deeper about the thought processes of Yusaku and Kasumi. I was thinking that Kasumi was a hypocrite while she was delivering it but what do you know, she finally confessed her love to Yusaku! But Yusaku being the way he is, remained silent... How long till he eventually breaks this mould?

Finally another insert song after a lot of episodes. Perfect for the moment! Amazing episode. Hope the show keeps this up till the end.

Some goods and some bads.

This almost feels like a blizzard cliche moment, but it exceeds. Kasumi and Takasugi chemistry is refreshing, healthy, independent, and very endearing. It's not corny or cheesy, and there's no damsel in distress or schmaltzy sacrifice. It's refreshing and honestly lovely to watch. The confession is top notch. Incredibly execution on that front. Also Shin isn't the typical nonchalant to the point of stupidity stereotype. It's almost subversive in a lot of ways when you really think about it.

However, much of it doesn't make sense. Takasugi and Ariyama share the same compassion, and yes indeed they do. But Takasugi has more leverage in being more subdued. I mean, Kasumi and Tatsuhiko are in a relationship ffs. What can you possible demand from the guy anyway? Ariyama is almost a pussy for that, but I get it, even if Kasumi and Tatsuhiko aren't in a relationship, Takasugi would've done the same for Tatsuhiko anyway. So honestly, and I hate to say this but they're pussies for that. It's illogical, senseless compassion. And so of course Takasugi wouldn't interfere with an established relationship.

It still is a wonderful episode. But whenever I turn my brain on for a couple of seconds, I get slightly annoyed. I guess I can suspend my disbelief still.

I definitely did not expect a confession from Kasumi like that. I expected it would be just another perfect opportunity wasted with nothing having been changed, even seeing that not that much episodes were left, but now the things will develop and come to some conclusion
