I still hate Taicho's voice when acting.
And gah... the Head scaped again.

Anyway, the scene setup was too big. How much money do they gain?!

This was a really good episode!!
OMG, the audience members were SO stupid!!!
It's obvious that Soutetsu is the bad guy, but what exactly is his goal?
I hate that Ebisu had to die for revenge.
All that effort put into that finale and the head still gets away!
Now the head has possessed the soul of Enomoto and is heading north.

I don't think that Soutetsu is the bad guy. More like he's writing the history at the moment, as he'd say. Before we see the end of his play, there's no way we can be sure that he's the bad guy.
Anyway, I really think it was stupid to put so much effort in the finale despite of which the the head still escaped. I really doubt that Akidzuki will be able to kill the head at all now.

Fully agree about Soutetsu, smirking aside.
Akidzuki's plan at the moment seems to be to hit it with his purpose-made sword. Perhaps this plan can be improved a bit!

Not sure why you'd think that at all. They expected an awesome show from the famous theatre company. I'm judging that from the length of their travels, the fact they have the best author writing their scripts and the audience's adoration on-stage and off-stage. In earlier episodes, we've had everyone they meet showing delight at meeting a celebrity.

Is it that much of a stretch that they would have managed to hire a couple of real cannons and show swordsmen for the finale? At the distance they were standing and with the fog, it's hard to believe thata a theatre-goer would have suspected that the ghost warriors were real.

Remember also that the creepy magic circle candles were already lit when the audience followed to watch the finale.

In fact, the only possible clue I can see that the audience could have had that the events were real was the departure from the theatrical narration in favour of real emotion in the voices. Again distance plays a factor and in the excitement, it's very unlikely anyone would have noticed.

Well maybe someone who constantly thinks and analyses too much would have thought for a moment "there's something funny here" with the acting at Ebisu's death, but I'd probably have assumed it was just drama. :)

Soutetsu might not be the main antagonist, but I'm pretty certain he's a bad guy. From the beginning when he killed that guy and disrupted peace talks, to this 'finale' I don't know how he could justify his manipulative antics. If he wanted to ensure that the head was sealed and take out Nakaya there was certainly a simpler way to achieve that. Sad to see Ebisu go out like that, but I hope Nakaya is dead for real this time.

Hmmm it seemed like Akidsuki actually freed the head *facepalm!*

and another thing: How did Soutetsu get on that ship so fast? lol

Soutetsu is a damn good playwright. Everyone is dancing to his tune and playing out the roles he writes for them.

Ibaragi tricked even Nakaiya, he's a real manipulator,
Ebisu died while holding Nakaiya, if Nakaiya escaped death again, well Ebisu's sacrifice will be for nothing,
We got to see the gunman's backstory, it's pretty sad, That British spy troupe looks really dangerous,
So the head found a successor in Enomoto, I wonder what's gonna happen next.

The bomb killed both Ebisu and Nakaiya then? But Nakaiya has survived his "death" once before, so who knows.
