----------------------------------------
This chapter was really important in the development of the story. The way Sanae-san rushed to where Shizu was proves that at the end of everything, she is still her mother. The way she panicked showed that deep down, she loves her daughter even though she cannot show it because of her cowardly self!

I was a bit worried seeing how Suzu lost her appetite and to make things even more worrisome, she goes missing. While everyone frantically looked for her, Mirei went to search for Suzu herself! What was Chihiro thinking allowing her to leave his side?!

Suzu is so precious. I am so glad the Mirei went after Suzu when she ran towards the mountain.

My heart melted when Suzu said that everyone must hate her for being so demanding. Cannot believe she actually cried for making her father and brother get that yukata for her when they were facing such a difficult financial situation. Loved it when Mirei reassured Suzu that she is loved so she shouldn't cry. :')

In the end it all worked out. Loved it how Sanae-san couldn't hold it back and rushed to hug Mirei even after knowing she wasn't Shizu. I think this solves the mother-daughter relationship that almost got lost between fear and rejection.

Sanae-san's long wish came true. She has overcome her fear, just like she prayed to God in her younger days with Akira-san in the same place where Suzu wished for her mother to wake up. :)

Beautiful chapter once again.

The mirei reveal is very subtle, but i feel like it came across very well. With shizu mentioning it herself it was on your mind. Then cutting in the flashbacks. The way Mireis personality changed. The way she reacted to suzu going missing and finding her. There interactions. Then the reveal that she was reflecting back on the past when she sees shizus mom. At this point it really became a masterpiece. A fine example of truly good story telling.

This is posted without any further knowledge of what's going on in the later chapters. But woah that's some huge twist at the end. So Aki is really "dead" for her soul to be possessing shizu as "mirei" for some time already.

I just love the character development in this chapter.
I’m still glad to know that she still loves her like mother and is still one. I was beginning to a worry a bit that she would have trouble accepting her daughter. And lose hope. And just give up on her. But I’m glad she didn’t.
