Pucci should have destroyed the Meteorite before it landed in his new universe. That way this alternate universe would have been much safer. sigh...
It always has something to do with gravitational forces. Made in Heaven..

So the rotational forces thingy is like the alternate universe form of the ripple technique; passed down the Zeppeli family, Gyro teaches it to Johnny. A bit like William teaching Jonathan... or is it more similar to Caesar and Joseph... nah, the former.

Nyo-ho! Finally some proper background information on Gyro. Araki really romanticized executioners - they're usually faceless, lumbering hunks of muscle who are stupid enough to not let their job take a toll on their psyche, or if not, completely sadistic psychos. To think there could be ones that are not only qualified doctors and martial artists, but also possess Accupressure v2.0 to ease people's pain.. quite the luxury for someone sentenced for death, if you ask me.

Wow. I wasn't expecting such an unusual backstory for Gyro.
Although, I am dissapointed such a massive amount of his backstory was shown in one chapter.
I loved how in the previous chapters, we were only given small bits of Gyro's past.

This isn't Pucci's universe. No one knows their own fate like in part 6. I don't know why so many people think this.

Gyro's backstory! Hurray! :)

I noticed some historical mistake here. To generalize and say that executioners were commonly respected and had high position in pre-20th century Europe is exaggeration. In France they were like that, but i.e. in medieval Germany their profession was treated as disreputable. In other places of Europe the profession of "executioner" was treated more or less the same as other professions, like baker, blacksmith etc.

Just saying, lol.

Spinning nails that both looks cool and uncomfortable to look at, really like the creativity and how it came into play in this chapter. In a way yeah it is still very much a Joestar and Zeppeli dynamic that we grew to know and love from previous parts.

Gyro backstory was not something I expected but now I see how it ties with the kid.

I didn't expect the Zeppeli bloodline to be a line of executioners in this reality but at least Gyro knows where to draw the line when it comes to carrying out his job. If only retrials weren't that costly...

I'm very curious on how the spinning steel balls contribute to the executions.

The fight's pretty great but it's extremely explained and detailed by the characters so it's a bit weird. I love that Mountain Tim is finally a main character, too.

Gyro's backstory was good but I wish it was revealed over a longer time in small pieces. It would've been fun piecing all the clues together.
