THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
So "Laplace's Box" was a clause in a hundred-year-old document talking about proper rights and inclusion for "a new space-adapted human race", should one be formed. The document containing said clause was believed to be destroyed during the terrorist attack on Laplace, and while a copy was made it actually lacked the "Newtype Rights" clause.

If it was revealed, then it would be proof to most people that the Federation was actually in the wrong the entire time- which they were, and they weren't... messy stuff there- by refusing to accept Zeon and Neo Zeon as official countries and government bodies.

Thus, it's a prayer- a hope for the future, where all of mankind is in harmony- and a curse, since any attempt to reveal it now would almost certainly result in the opposite intentions of its creators.

Banagher and Minerva agree to try and send the truth to the world anyways, believing that "even so" people should be able to find the best possibility. But Full Frontal intervenes, nearly killing the two of them and Syam Vist before being forced away by what looks to be Cyber-Newtype implants in Syam's head. Banagher goes after him, planning to quickly finish him off in the Unicorn and then return in time to help broadcast the truth to the world.

Elsewhere Riddhe is drifting through space, suffering what seems to be the aftershocks of his Banshee-Newtype-Overload. The crew of the Nahel Argama reaches out to him, and he reveals the truth of Laplace's Box to them. They're saddened by the truth, and Riddhe admits that he feels torn over the path he chose, now fully aware that there was another, better path he could have taken.

His "reform speech" is interrupted by the sight of a super-huge red mobile armor coming up on the Magallanica mini-colony (it's docked at the actual colony Industrial 7) and using a new psycho-frame weapon to take complete control of mobile suits and destroy each them. Judging from the transitions in the animation, Full Frontal is remotely controlling it with his eyewear. Riddhe heads after him in the Banshee as well, intent on stopping him once and for all.

Next episode, Unicorn and Banshee vs Neo Zeong. We're in the final stretch, boys and girls.

It's Banagher and Audrey/Mineva, not Marida.

And I'm sorely disappointed that this is really just a retelling, with no new content added for this entire series.

I never watched the OVA's but I have really liked this gundam series a lot. I'm assuming the reason there isn't much discussion is because this is just a tv version of the OVA's and most gundam fans already saw them?

Preeetty much. Sometimes the Gundam reddit gets a little more attention on it, but the major consensus is "the OVAs are totally better". Personally, I'm a fan of the TV-sized format and extra OPs/EDs.

The calm before the storm, that's the impression I got after watching this episode. Narration played on speeches and on the revelations, but now we expect a very tight fight, I hope they can say more about the characters, as in the entire anime series, we talked about a lot more of the facts. Drawings, animations and OST, very good. Although it is much more challenging, I enjoyed the OVA version of this project, compared to the TV version, the reason for this, is that in the TV version, have failed to make optimum scene cuts, they were wrong more than once . However, the TV version has the advantage of being much more comfortable on the side of enjoyment.

The revealed MacGuffin was not too different from what we could expect. But once I learned the information, I was thinking more "ah? it's just that that was surrounded by so much deaths and conspirations ?" than "oh! good!" because of how weird the fact that politics envision the birth of a new human species (evolution) and integrate it in a government chart with no factual base is. All this looks more like an accidental chain of opportunities/events (from the chart's final clause writing to this episode) rather than a logical progression.
Riddhe's speech being the highest moment of absurdity in the episode.

3/5 Full Frontal is not Casval after all, but only a 'recipient" to the deceased man memories (a clone or look-alike who learned about the real one's life). And Banagher is a real Newtype.

Also, I really don't see the point in revealing the information to the world (outside of possible riots).

So, the Laplace Box is just a pro-Newtype document. Interesting.
