| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Whoa this episode was intense with the battle of the fragments. Loved the competition-like mood between the girls and that one enemy. The universal world fiction is so well depicted. A more tense chemistry between Minato and Subaru this episode as well. But yeah, this episode was worth waiting for. Sabaru's selfless personality shows quite a bit too. I hope Minato comes back... |

| Golden ring (space ship?) developed and there's a fragment. 7 years ago was when they separated into 12 / 13 fragments? The enemy set a trap so that he can steal what they caught. She went into that room while escaping. Deep into the room and another door that let the friends in. That earring hurt the enemy? During the fight, fragments are complete. Shafts upgraded because of the flower he gave. Space ship invasion stopped, and the enemy met the boy, who is gone after that. The girls got 8 (including 2 that the enemy got) back. So it's different from ONA ver. about that boy? About the two friends next? |

| Huh, so it turns out that Minato and the boy in the observatory aren't actually the same person? That sure is a surprise. I wonder how that will affect things going forward, especially as it puts the role of Minato under even greater scrutiny than it was before. |
| I have a theory that Horned Cape and Minato are alternate existences from each other. I mean, caped boy is defeated, and Minato is gone. Maybe the two exist for one another and can't exist without the other? This is Ganiax I'm talking about. They could do that. Anyway. This was a good episode they finally got all the fragments. That makes me happy. The ending was pretty sad, and I expect something deep to happen in the second half, but not something super shocking and dark. This won't pull a Madoka. |

| The creators went full Gainax mode this episode. Quite a lot of things require explanation now, but it sure was impressive. It was nice to see everyone get their full grilles, though I was hoping for two more individual character focused episodes before the plot kicked in. |

| Initially, this show portrayed (Horned Cape) Minato as an excellent antagonist, but by each episode, he gradually lost his aura and became too weak. Once again, only he got injured from the impact while the girls left the scene unscathed. I'm not too fond of this type of unfairness. | Well, this was definitely what I was not expecting from this series. For me it gets more more interesting with each episode. | After 6 episodes it finally feels like a Gainax series which is refreshing to say the least. The direction this anime seems to be taking story wise is actually quite interesting and I'm glad that the lighthearted tone consistently remains intact. Minato is shaping up to be a great antagonist and the relationship between him and Subaru is sweet even though I'm not too fond of Subaru as a main character. Hopefully we'll get a Nanako episode soon, as she's had pretty much none of the spotlight so far. |

| "We'll see each other again, right?" Mitsubishi-kun. D: Things take a more serious turn with a crisis regarding the collection of engine fragments and a serious push by the horned antagonist (I'll call him Mitsubishi-kun now) to take them by force. I've always thought Minato-kun and Mitsubishi-kun was one and the same. Maybe I was wrong. I thought this was gonna be another episode dedicated to another character; maybe miss purple - but it isn't. Not expecting any plot twists or sudden turns, but I think this anime just did that with Minato and Mitsubishi-kun. Now I'm curious about what happened, and yet I have to wait another week. There's no romance in this series, but if a tender one develops between Subaru and Minato I'd gladly welcome it. Don't cry, Subaru. He'll be back. ;_; |
| The episode is appreciated again to the sympathy seen during the story, for the designs and for the lovely soundtrack. The story is a bit too simple and obvious once again, but we step above. Who knows what will happen the next time. |

| Ok now I'm slightly confused. I was thinking Minato was that evil magician the whole time but he is not? At least not the actual same person (with the same body). Alternate versions of each other, like others stated, seems to make the most sense for now. Ah well it would have been to easy if they revealed it so early. |
| I wonder if their shafts will transform more, having them turn into super awesome cars sounds like a bad idea to me but it doesnt mean I wouldnt want to see it. |

| Regarding the two Minatos, yeah the fact that the earring hurts fountain Minato (FM) is probably due to a quantic interference indicating that two Minatos shouldn't exist on the same plane, hence they come from different dimensions. That said, we had a lot of information about the aliens and their ship this episode, so it could mean FM is "asleep" on the ship (explaining why the fountain room was always timeless). Also the pleiadian mentionned that if his people wake up it's the worst outcome, it upholds the fact that horned Minato (HM) has awoken and has decided to cannibalize time and space in order to survive. While after meeting Subaru, FM will want to change, and maybe become a time-being again? (though pleiadian said they can't be living again so that might involve something akin to reincarnation). As for a general interpretation, it can be anything really since as the aliens become outside of dimensions beings, there's now virtualy an infinity of aliens who may want a different future/outcome (beyond repairing the ship). So something must be selecting the outcomes, but the only two visible outcomes so far are FM's and HM's, so Minato has probably a different status than just a regular alien. He's probably the ship, or Fate or something like that. |

| Well it makes sense. Minato, and HC shouldn't be near each other. Is it just me or does Minato's hair have a lighter red color than HC's? Kudos to Subau. Strong girl, protecting Aoi even if it meant her life. |
