| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- That wasn't too bad. The story was fairly interesting and the action was decent. Golden robot got zapped. Meanwhile the "beast master" was a cyborg... interesting switch-up. |

| Initial impression: Birth+Bubblegum Crisis+Nausicaa (at least in the design sense of some parts) Spider tanks, lightsabers (well, kind of), banger rock ost at times (which lacks a good scream to be truly great though). Good mix. One question: why did Sahari have a camera in her bathroom? O_O I like how Ital sold his sword to the old man only to get it back for free lol xD A glasses dude from the bar kinda resembled Tanaka from OnV. Just a coincidence, I guess. So many random words said while casting spells, it's almost as if none of them will make any sense for the story at all! Would've been funny if the hero just fell down the tower right after killing the bad guy...well, he fell anyway, but not so spectacularly. |
| Huh, better than expected! What's surprising to me is that there's 2 more episodes, despite the OVA not really having ended in a "cliffhanger way". Dude is dead, revenge has been had, lots of things were you'd go "man they could've gone more in-depth with that idea" but nothing out of the ordinary for an OVA. Looking forward to see if the following episodes just continue random stuff the three chars do, or if it explores the war of the past or whatnot. |
