Overall it is a much better episode than the last one. There is not only that slight development between Saku and Hime (if you want to see it that way like me ;) ) but also a even promising future perspective to look into in the next episode. (new event, new characters) I like it :)

My feeling is that poor Hime has been set up for a bigger fall and the final pairing will be Saku and Mihoshi, based upon their behavior in the planetarium room.

Oh well, this series could have gone a less predictable route, but I don't see that happening now.

I really am starting to get tired of the perpetual shipping that happens in pretty much every episode thread. The way I see it, the staff has done a good job ensuring that pretty much every pairing is fairly enjoyable to watch. In this episode, we had good scenes for Mihoshi, Hime, and Fuumin (somewhat indirectly). People who're putting all the focus on one pairing, whichever one it is, are only sacrificing their own enjoyment of the show in a way that's not going to effect what ultimately happens.

As far as the actual episode goes, I liked it quite a bit. The whole showcase of the other clubs, especially the ones that went in costume, was funny. And how the hell Edogawa's modeling got the photo club 3rd place is waaaay beyond me. The next episode looks like it'll be a total blast, what with them meeting up with fellow Astronomers from all over.

A very cute episode. Edogawa is hilarious! And Saku-mom really needs more screen time. Looks like a hurdle of new characters next episode. It doesn't seem, with 12 episodes, that any final pairing will happen at the anime's end. So if anyone wants to see their beloved pairing(s) that much, seriously, go read doujins.

Wow, my affection for this little under-appreciated series seems to grow with each passing episode.

Being a former astronomy dork in grade school and a photography enthusiast in high school, the stargazing scenes (including the planetarium in this episode) have such a beautiful and sublimely serene quality that, when taken out of the context of the larger whole, feel very tender and somewhat fragile.

The beauty of the stars of the night sky will also elude you if you are near any errant light. Their fragility is very apparent if you live in a city and you find yourself looking up for the first time while camping or traveling. Oh man, memories... I'm nostalgia-ing so hard right now.

It was always reading about distances and the scale of the universe that struck me as a kid. When you take a moment to think on it even now, it's still a very humbling experience.

P.S. Edogawa is the first character in long time to make me choke on my drink because of how funny he is. "And the stars are so perfectly placed!" Bwahahaha!

Another great episode. Looks like things will get interesting with the introduction of new characters. I wonder if this will have a second season...seems very possible to me.

Still seems pretty predictable, though they still let Hime-chan have some hopes (poor Hime). Not much romantic development this episode, but it was a good episode.

Many good jokes. I laughed my ass off about bowling with jupiter (best situational joke I have seen in a while). Saku's mother was funny, too. Not even to mention Plane-tan plus the Edogawa sisters and that act scene.

Though you can't really hate Mii-chan and Hime-chan is funny and cute and she has the pity-bonus of a chance-less heroine, they are just no match for Sayo.

Edogawa was hilarious and Sayo and her father are pure win XD

Can't wait for next episode after that preview. I'm already seeing a Roma x Oumi (the new character) pairing :D

Extremely enjoyable episode as always, with a fantastic atmosphere, very funny scenes, great characters and a good amount of developments. Still one of the best (even if under-appreciated) series of this season.

personally i think this is the best episode i seen in this anime,
seeing some development between hime and saku almost make me cry in joy... (really, seriously ^^")

lol at edogawa, my biggest respect for u being willing to do such sacrifice to ur club. (really, if i m edogawa, i dont want my sister see me doing that lol)

lol at how they cant bear to take down planetan,
and lastly, haruko and souma seems a promising pair ^^
oblivious is a bliss

I would love for the HimexSaku pairing to work out but I think the poor girl is being set up for a big fall like dbaranyi said. I find it sad the girl has to get her hopes up like that only to get shot down. Call me silly but though I know it'll come down to MihoshixSaku...I STILL don't much like the idea... I don't much like Mihoshi's character either...why is she so needy? lol, oh well personal opinion. Still, the episode was enjoyable :) I'm interested in the next episode with the new character!

Given the 12 episodes of the anime.. introducing characters at episode 9 hmm.. does it have enough time for development?

LoL at Edogawa's modelling.

Loving the Mihoshi and Saku development despite what all you Hime lovers think!

Haruko is awesome. I'm surprised the local planetarium doesn't draw more people with her around.

With a name like Plane-tan, I'd have a hard time taking it down too.

Edogawa continues to push the humor meter higher. I was also shocked that his sisters were so cute.

Looking forward to meeting the Astronomy clubs at the other school(s).

I feel so sorry for Hime, to the extent that I know I'll be disappointed with the Saku x Mihoshi ending (which is inevitable). Mihoshi is just demanding a bitch slap for being so dependent >:(

On a side note, I like this show's OST more and more as episodes go.

I can't believe that they didn't win a prize. They did a great job.

I bet they'll end this like Macross Frontier - with no resolution on the shipper front. And I'd be fine with that.

That Hime blush after Saku thanked her for the diary, aww. Yarai was cute as well, that kimono really suits her character well.

The group did a very amazing job with the planetarium. It was sad to see it get thrown away. Honestly if that thing could fit through the door, the group could have taken it somewhere else. They put a lot of effort into making it.

Beauty, that's how I would describe the moon at the end. Looked so real to me.

Nice teasing at progress.
I'm surprised even the literature club didn't make it in the top 3. They really do need a nice reflecting telescope, would make it more interesting.
