| it was obviously Minami. There were hints throughout the episode. For instance why would Yuka take a picture of Kazuya out of Taachan's pocket? I think she would know better even if she is really annoying. Also the fact that Minami wasn't going to go is another good hint. Same thing Minami did when Taachan didn't go watch her performance. |

I guessed as soon as Yuka's photo was shown. It was a nice touch (pun not intended) for Minami to see the photo in Tatsuya's pocket. After Tatsuya failed to arrive on time (again), and never got a chance to see that Minami had a photo of him for support, I had started to fear both of them would end up believing they didn't need the other for support. The next episode appears to be as boring as every episode involving the coach has been for around 10+ episodes. I don't care about the filler coach and wish he'd go blind, or die... or something. Where did the romantic developments that made Touch so great to begin with go? |

| I don't know what's worse: this insufferable situation, that manager buying that ridiculous reasoning and siding with the demon even though he was watching the result of his unreasonable choice, or the fact that the demon continues to actively try to ruin their youth, and dreams just because his were ruined. It's so petty, so pointless, so obnoxious that I can't even. And it's so cheap that Sasaki was able to get a hit in the end, but since they underestimated this school so much, and anyone can have a lucky hit, I guess that I can cut it some slack, but it's ridiculous they needed to go through this in the first place, just to please a sadistic demon. Oh, and I called Yuka annoying because I thought that the photo Tacchan had was one of Kacchan, it's still wrong, but I can understand her now. |

| This one match with the handicap couldn't have provided any training at all. What a load of bullcrap this coach is throwing, just becaus it's a silly game for him doesn't mean it's a silly game for the team. At least we got a cute moment there at the end of Minami knowing whose picture Tacchan was keeping. |

| I can't be the only one who felt sorry for the Seta high school guys... They were so close to getting their own super-happy underdog victory. Who knows? An early win could have been the start of their own shonen-style baseball training saga :( Putting Sasaki on the pitcher's mound knowing full well he'd be humiliated in front of his parents, friends and crush, cost his teammates their last chance at reaching the Koushien for their dead mate, and all this in front of thousands of spectators was more than just sabotage, it was active cruelty of the sort rarely perpetrated by even the most sadistic individuals. I'd go so far as to say it was probably the most evil thing he's done so far. Luckily he got that last hit, so it'll likely be one of his most cherished memories, the sort that |

| This was the most exciting baseball match yet. It would've been boring without the involvement of the asshole coach so I guess I should thank him? Instead I hate the motherfucker even more than before. But damn watching his interactions is entertaining. I really can't tell if he's actually doing this for vengeance or he actually believes doing things his way will improve the chance of going to Koushien. Next episode looks good. About damn time we got some proper explanations. Finally Sasaki does something. But still it doesn't really feel anything major, at the very least I don't think all the build-up was worth it. At first I thought he was just a replacement for Yoshida (everyone seems to have forgotten that guy) as a potential love interest for Yuka. But after Yoshida became arrogant it seemed to have conflicted with whatever the author was trying to come up with later. So the anime story feels poorly planned. I haven't read the manga so Idk how much of this is filler but Touch seems to have a habit of bringing in characters and then suddenly writing them off once they become irrelevant. I guess this is still better than most shonen anime that add too many side-characters that it doesn't know what to do with them so they stick around doing absolutely nothing. |

| That last scene was done FAR better in the anime. I was so disappointed when I read this part in the manga since it's one of my favorite scenes. They also did Sakaki better here. |
