I wonder from where Reiji got his sword O_o
but finally they made a move (the thing I wanted to see <_<) with Takatori Reiji.
Now, stop playing around and FIGHT.
(And don't draw out the ending!!!)

I was glad they finally killed Takatori. But yes indeed, where DID Reiji get his sword? I thought the battle between Aya and Takatori would be more "epic" but hey, the series was made in 1998! But I can't wait to see what Schwartz will do next [to plan the destruction of the human race].

The scene right after Reji ran from Ken, it showed an office with a sword stand and sheath, but the sword was gone.

It's unbelievable cuz it's Japan. But the sad thing is that this level of abuse of power, corruption, assassination are happening for real right now in many countries.

I commend the bad Takatori on facing off bravely against the soft Takatori. And against Aya with his sword.

This ends part 1. 10 episodes left. 12 if you count the 2 episodes of the OVA.

Too bad Persia didn't even call him son. I also wish they were able to expose the Takatori corruption offscreen, so people would sympathise with the murder. After all, Reiji's party / coalition got the majority in Parliament, so he must have won the hearts of the people even though he is evil incarnate.

ETA:

Animation is slipping. This episode and last, we see that mouth movements are not in synced with the audio. The katana appeared out of nowhere.

Where did Aya get his if he left if before elsewhere?
