I can't think about it I really don't like visual novels that are very long like playing a game but guys is it really that long? Is it even worth to play the game first or just watch anime? I'm of course anime fan and I like how games being adapted to anime like scarlet nexus so is there a point for me to play a game or I just better watch summer pockets?

It's a visual novel. The difference is the visual novel has different routes, means the result whom you end up with at last depends on your gameplay. On other hand, anime has only one route. Mc will end up with the chosen heroine.
The good point of watching anime is you don't know who will win until the end. But playing VN, you can literally chose who you'll end up with.

There is no perfect adaptation of a visual novel, reading the original will 100% of the time be the better experience.

The game is about 50 hours which actually isn’t that long, think of it as watching a 150 episode anime. You should give it a shot and keep playing if you enjoy it. Though you shouldn’t force yourself to do anything because it won’t be enjoyable that way.

obviously visual novel will be better than the anime as they have much, much more time to develop the story/characters, but if you just want to enjoy a condensed version of that the anime is fine.

summer pockets is on the longer side of visual novels, so unless you are really enjoying the anime and want to see the media in its "best" form, i would just watch it.

The VN will always be way better than the anime adaption. The only anime that comes even close to the VN is Steins;Gate, and that's because the storyline is fairly linear.

Any of the big Key VNs like Clannad, Little Busters, Rewrite (we'll just pretend the anime for this one doesn't even exist), Summer Pockets, etc. are not linear stories, and can only be faithfully told through the VN. No matter how good the anime adaption is, you'll always miss out compared to the original.

Naw, which one is better will mostly be subjective, so pick whichever one you would like to experience.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

@paulyzogaming Outside of Kanon [which even then Ayu route is clearly the most important] all Key novels have true endings (AIR, After Story, Refrain etc.) here those are Alka and Pocket which you unlock after doing all the heroine routes. True routes always follow a single main girl (Misuzu, Nagisa, Rin etc.) which is pretty obviously
here. So anime true end will just adapt the games true end while almost definitely cutting the romance from all heroine routes that aren't

I get what you're saying, but the same could be said for Clannad, Rewrite, and Little Busters. Having a true route that you first need to complete the individual heroine routes in any particular order to reach isn't linear,
. There's still a long, shared common route they're not going to repeatedly adapt, and no way they'll adapt every heroine's route (but will instead try to mash key pieces of each route into a once-through linear timeline).

Of course if you want a quality story, you should go for visual novels. This is simply just a no brainer question. I don't think most people who already have played the visual novel, including me, are expecting a good anime adaptation of this. Well, we are still hoping that we will get at least a decent adaptation and not a trainwreck like Rewrite.

You don't like visual novels, then just be satisfied with the anime. No one can force you to do something you don't like.

I feel like no matter how good the anime will adapt the story it will not be able to do the vn justice.
Also to be quite honest the thing that was really good about Summer Pockets was the summer nostalgia. It really takes you back to those times as a kid when you went to the beach and played around (if you did). I don't know if the anime will be able to capture that as well, since their focus will probably be more on the plot itself.

"Summer Pockets" is an anime based on a visual novel game. It's a heartwarming story about love, memories, and summer, featuring beautiful artwork and an emotional plot. If you're into visual novel adaptations, it's definitely worth checking out! And speaking of fun games, if you're into something casual, try Duck Duck Clicker—a cute, clicker-style game where you collect ducks and watch your empire grow!
