Series that don't really know what they want to be (IE: changing tones and genres constantly, making absurd changes)
| Please Teacher for example doesn't seem to know if it wants to be an ecchi, a sci-fi series or a drama. So it awkwardly shifts between all 3. Some episodes like the first have lots of the typical pandering fanservice scenes but others play up the serious drama and then sometimes it feels like it wants to be a sci-fi comedy. Ah my goddess at first was a romance/magical girlfriend anime with plots around that. But then for awhile had a bunch of episodes that were just comedies with not much romance, just whacky scenarios involving Skuld's inventions and slapstick, then becomes an action series towards the end. |

| Estab-Life: Great Escape was kinda one of those cases. Good, but a little bit weird show. |

| I finished Solty Rei last month, and that anime had no idea what it wanted to be. It's cyberpunk, also bounty hunters, also a family drama, then there's a fight against a final boss that was sort of magical, and it ends in a scene in outer space... there's an OVA episode that was sort of family sitcom? it was just boring. |
