I prefer English and I don't want to hear any "Japanese is the best", "Sub over dub", "Dub is for losers". At the end of the day there is no indefinite answer for which is better. Imo it's preference and that's all that matters.

The original Japanese version always will be the superior one. One of the reasons why is because of the Japanese VAs. That they are getting more strict and better voice acting education than all of the other Countries. I`m not saying that Dub is always worse, Some of the older shows or classics can be better with dub for the nostalgia. If you are watching Only dub for the reason that you can't read and see whats going on the screen at the same time. Sorry but you are either Stupid or have Dyslexia. Also Sora Amamiya ad Rie Takahashi my goats.

Why even ask? You do you, whatever works. A lot of us will give honest opinions, but a thread like this tends to be a troll magnet, not often a good idea.
Personally I prefer Japanese due to VA skill superiority, and I’m English so find the American accent jarring. Not generally, I like Hollywood movies, but in anime it’s not right to my ears.

VA skills are definitely worlds apart from any other country but the bigger reason is sound direction in most dubs is so shit that it feels completely out of place almost always.

Also, to be very very honest, even though my Oshi is Hanazawa Kana, I would say Rieri is probably the peak of Voice Acting. There are obviously others that come VERY close, but Rieri is a different breed all together. She almost always becomes the character herself, so the voice acting that comes out is always so beautiful!

Oh yes, most definitely. I recently watched "Nina the Starry Bride" while it was airing. The dub released simultaneously with sub. I've got to say that it is easily one of the worst dubs oat.

I watched both Sub & Dub of the first season, both were good, but I preferred the Dub.

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

Japanese sounds funnier tbh, ive rewatched this like 9 times already, my favorite anime. The dub is good, but it doesn't hit the same as the sub does. You have animes like naruto or fairy tail which don't really matter what you watch them in, but konosuba kinda loses its feel with different voice acting, the sub feels kind of like their voices are meant to be in that anime.

I usually watch sub but I went for dub for this so I could watch it while doing other stuff. It’s got a good cast of VA and sometimes I feel comedies land better in my native language. Except for Gintama, I’ll always watch that in sub.

When it comes to sub vs dub I of course wouldn’t ever judge one better than the other. Especially these days.

Theres a-lot of Japanese dub elitist here that say its the better version, their arguments crumble like wet cardboard imo. Ive seen people argue solo leveling is better in Japanese even though the source material is KOREAN! If you truly cared about source material you would watch the KOREAN dub.
