so it turns out the blond woman, who might have been the love interest, turns out to be the leader of a bunch of treasure hunters, who killed cobra's friend and are now trying to get rid of him... good luck with that, they're going to need it

Can anyone please tell me what happened at the end? The only subbed version I could find was a Crunchy subbed rip and the file cuts off at the 20 minute mark.

The last thing we see is Cobra being pulled underwater by the metal guy and Ellis telling Cobra that he''ll never resurface.

Did anything happen after that?

Clearly Cobra dies and Ellis gets the treasure.
Or you could wait a week and watch the last ten minutes for free legally. (Cobra is available in the UK legally on CR, you know).

Just a precision, i have read in some comments and forum how can Cobra breathe underwater . Response :
It is explained in the first serie ( 1982 ) and on the first ova " the psychogun", why he can breathe underwater . In fact, as James Bond, he has gadgets and breathe underwater through his cigar that he calls ” oxcygar ” ( or oxycigar depend on translation ) because there are oxygen inside .

It still doesn't explain how he can _talk_ underwater...

Cobra is basically a manga that was published in the weekly shonen jump and so I think it should not be considered a realistic manga. To love this manga, it is best to appreciate the universe and the atmosphere and not focus too much on certain oddities. As for One Piece, it is the kind of manga that has a dense universe with its own rules. To love cobra the animation, we must accept that Cobra is invincible. His nickname is also Cobra "the immortal".

Those oxycigar show up in the Cobra the Animation: The Psycho-Gun OVA which also can be watched on CR for free.

But yes this episode breaks all sorts of rules to logic and science but whatever it is really fun to watch.
