| I was so surprised when Vegeta suddenly went Super Saiyan 3. He looked so cool and powerful, but the fight didn’t turn out to be as enjoyable as I was hoping. What wasn’t surprising, though, was Majin Duu winning the Dragon Ball. I mean, he needs that to even have a chance against Goku and Vegeta. Hopefully, we’ll finally get to see that cool fusion they’ve been hinting at for a while now! |

@FMmatron He used Ultimate in the movie, which originally was Super Saiyan which they just recoloured. In the anime he wasn't Ultimate, he wasn't anything.
Gotenks saw Gohan, Buu, Vegeta and the others get slapped around like nothing and he simply went at Beerus either as a Super Saiyan or as nothing.
Vegeta can be as mad as he wants, Super Saiyan 3 still isn't a great form. In fact in the movie he never even went Super Saiyan 2 at all. He just transformed into a Super Saiyan. People always just used to say it was a Super Saiyan 2 just for their own peace of mind because it was already a struggle for them to comprehend him surpassing Goku.
But no in Battle of God's when Vegeta snapped and got angry, he didn't transform into a Super Saiyan 2 when everyone knows he had that form so him not transforming into Super Saiyan 3 doesn't mean squat.

I mean Goku did it too and he's well aware of stamina conservation and picking the best form to fight since he didn't make the same mistake as Vegeta in the Cell Saga. Granted, Vegeta still has his own way of fighting, but if we're real there nothing even implying that Vegeta had learned to go oSSJ3 which is why this comes across as asspull. Strictly speaking it doesn't contradict Super directly, yet Dragon Ball is infamous for making up stuff on the fly and adding new forms whenever it suits the plot and here you are trying to defend this even tho it's simple. When Super aired he didn't have SSJ 3. 6,5 years later they added the form to his repertoire to spice Daima up. |

| @FMmatron Gohan turned Ultimate in the movie but not in the TV version. And why can't the movie version be brought up? In Battle of Gods Vegeta attacked Beerus just as a Super Saiyan. So he doesn't really matter that he didn't use Super Saiyan 3 in hindsight because they didn't even have him use Super Saiyan 2 in foresight. Obviously it wasn't thought of at that time which is why he didn't use it but it's not that problematic because as I said everyone knows about Gotenks having Super Saiyan 3 but he only used Super Saiyan against Beerus in the movie and didn't transform at all in the TV show. Yet he did turn Super Saiyan 3 for the manga. By the time Vegeta had his next real fight he could use Super Saiyan Blue. He went the entire TV show never even transforming into a Super Saiyan God when we all figured he'd have it so him not transforming into a Super Saiyan 3 either isn't a big deal. You had about 90 consecutive episodes where Super Saiyan God wasn't seen at all despite both Goku and Vegeta using it across multiple occasions in the manga so it's all just here or there. |

| Interesting SSJ3 But how exactly did he do it? They're supposedly downgraded in power level after being turn into Kids. It took adult Goku like 1 episode of yelling to transform into SSJ3, LOL. (even if he was dead) And even in Daima, Goku's power level is just barely able to tap into SSJ2. He probably can't transform into SSJ3 yet. |
