Misread something Yhwach said early on which left me bothered till I re-read it, but over than that, pretty good episode. Ishida vs Ichigo had a very personal tension to it, and the action was pretty solid. Good all round.

Very disappointing episode.
I just had flashbacks of the previous arcs. All the drama about that crazy heavy walk like Ichigo is squating his RP LOL. And in the even previous to the last arc, when all that drama about Ichigo getting double Zanpakutō. And evaporating the whole ocean of water by just one move.
And now he is getting his a$$ wacked by who? By that glasses guy. LMAO.

Oh, I thought Yhwach chose whom to remove the Quincy power from during Auswählen and Ishida was not chosen. Was there a scene showing what happened to Ishida during Auswählen? Or, did they mention what happened?

I don’t think you understand this character, we’re talking about the guy that went to check Hueco Mundo just because Nel (a friend) said that she was in danger, now he’s trying to understand why Ishida is on Yhwach’s side, he can’t just kill him like that.

He even looked sad when Ulquiorra died and Ulquiorra wasn’t even a friend of his.

I understand this character very well and I actually like that he is sympathetic even towards his enemies. Its just that during this moment, everything and everyone was hanging on his decision. Ichigo went through training with Ichibe, got a new zanpakuto, learned about his past and seemed like he became wiser. Almost every other character became wiser, or advanced in some way in TYBW. Rukia, Renji, Kenpachi, Byakuya, pretty much everyone. Ichigo's choice there didn't feel right. It felt like, it was like that in order to create suspense etcetera. But it didn't fit with the "new", improved Ichigo. It was disappointing to say the least.

Pretty boring episode. A lot of yelling, Ichigo playing the goody-good shoe protagonist perfectly to his his own detriment and a pretty lame setup of the weakest followers against the strongest Sternenritter. All the while a literally gutless Ukitake is the lifeline of all worlds... huh...

Yes, Yhwach chose whom to remove the Quincy powers from during Auswählen and he chose all impure Quincies. And Ishida was among them.
There's no scene because there's nothing to animate. They just get sick and slowly die without their powers.
Ishida was immune for some unknown reason. Even Yhwach doesn't know why he's alive, this is the reason he recruited him and made him his successor. To keep him close and study him.

nothing really happened in this episode did it? just pointless attack spam.. Ichigo is as boring as ever, dude never has any resolve and always carries a depressed look
Yoruichi looked like a complete clown out here, wouldve been better she was sidelined like rangiku doing nothing
tybw 1st season was nice, 2nd was okayish.. 1st ep of this season was nice, last ep is neat too other than that nothing as good so far

Fantastic episode! Ishida vs Uryu was fantastic, gave me final Naruto vs Sasuke vibes (which was also amazing). Great development in plot from the Soul King and Yhwach side as well. Blud absorbed his father and has become a many eyed entity lol.

5/5 episode.

Cool animation and calling each others name every 5 sec, that's about it. Feels like Yhwach has been on the same dialogue on repeat, who's supplying him drugs?

They added Ichigo vs Uryu's fight compared to the manga and they even gave Uryu's his Vollständig along with new techniques such as giant arrow and light cage. Meanwhile, Ukitake uses the Soul King's right hand to fix the Soul King's crystal but Yhwach battles it and eventually absorbs it along with the Soul King himself. Everyone got defeated and got blown away from the Soul King Palace.
