 The Disney Content Showcase 2024 event in Singapore revealed the main staff and a teaser visual for the Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation. The anime series will premiere in three seasons, each adapting a manga. The first season, adapting Episode of Heartslabyul manga, will release worldwide on Disney+ in October 2025. The second and third seasons will adapt Episode of Savanaclaw and Episode of Octavinelle, respectively. Script: Youichi Katou (Scarlet Nexus) Character Design: Kaori Nakano (Pop Pop City), Akane Satou (Dororo key animation) Studio: Yumeta Company, Graphinica The mobile game by Aniplex in collaboration with Disney was announced in 2019 and released in Japan for iOS and Android in March 2020. Yana Toboso (Kuroshitsuji) created the draft, main scenario, and character design for the school of villains adventure game. The first manga, Episode of Heartslabyul, was written by Wakana Hazuki and drawn by Sumire Kowono and serialized in GFantasy magazine from March 2021 to October 2022. Episode of Savanaclaw began serialization in December 2022 and Episode of Octavinelle in August 2023. Square Enix shipped the second volume of Savanaclaw on July 26 and the second volume of Octavinelle on August 27. | LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Finally some news. Thank God they're adapting the manga, and not the light novel. I actually like the Yuu(s) from the manga. Would've prefered an adaptation of the game, but it'll do. Already hyped as hell for Episode of Heartslabyul. Hopefully they'll continue after season 3, and adapt the other books as well. The Episode of Savanaclaw and Episode of Octavinelle manga are currently on their Overblot parts, so they're relatively close to finishing. But at the pace they're going right now (Savanaclaw on hiatus until January 2025 and Octavinelle on indefinite hiatus, as far as I'm aware), the Episode of Scarabia manga probably won't be released until 2027. Unless they decide to use the game as source material for the anime adaptation of Scarabia, Pomefiore and Ignihyde. They're all finished (in-game), after all. |
