They really did justice with this adaptation yet again. The scene where Ruby gets her dark stars, I was waiting for that. It sent goosebumps down my spine, just as it did in the manga.

Can't wait for S3.

Amazing visuals and chara design. And both Akane and Kana have great personalities (even though I don't really understand why they are that much attracted to Aqua. Sure he helped them once, but, now, it seems they are trying 10* times harder (Kana) and 100* times harden (Akane) than him).
Dude don't really deserve them.
Anyways, while I found the anime really great, I have some issues in term of coherence :
The idea that Aqua is "hoping" for Akane to find a 15 year old dead body is just ridiculous. Dude hope that a random girl walking around is going to find a 15 year old body when no one living in the village did... weird.
Then, Aqua brining Akane to his former house and telling him about great detail about his former life.... details which would never be discussed to a child,
While we can guess Aqua wants to be able to discuss his story with someone, it's still weird.
And now, with the corpse of the doctor dead, while Aqua was barely a day old, and the fact that Aqua never went as a child in his former city, I mean, Akane should be able to figure out there is, at least, something really weird about Aqua connection to the doctor.

Now, obviously, we know about the reincarnation, and obviously if that was real life, we would probably go as far as Akane in terms of deduction (meaning Ai was Aqua's mother and Aqua's father is not dead),

but,

For Ruby, since she knows about reincarnation, and she knows the doctor has been killed the day of Aqua's birth,

And that Aqua has been looking for Ai's killer since he was 3 years old, which is not something a child will come up,

She should have figured out or at least assume that Aqua has been reincarnated too.

Honestly, I was hoping the season would finish with the reveal that Ruby/Aqua found out about the reincarnation but I guess it will be in season 3.

The dynamic has been flipped! What a shame that when Aqua gains a healthier mindset, Ruby gets thrown into a rough patch of life herself.

That music video was well done, but did anyone else feel a bit unsettled when it was cutting to past and present Ruby? At least the black star eyes and the white star eyes made for a good way to rub in the difference.

I'm glad season 3 was announced so quickly. I can't wait to get to the bottom of that white-haired girl, and the Hoshino twins' father.

This season answers so many questions and raises so many more- I was on the edge of my seat for the last two episodes. We saw some good character development with Aqua- honestly I’m glad the writers are handling his mental health the way they are. It feels both realistic and respectful. I’m curious to see if we get more insight into Ruby as a person next season.

@MyllerPhiem no it's not akane. it was the crow girl (victim of hikaru) that we see interacting with aqua and ruby.

I forgot to update this for months but this season was just a great as the last. So many things answered but yet so many new questions. I love the way the whole situation has flipped from Aqua being the hunter to Ruby being the new hunter. Next parts of the story I heard get wild so we'll see what happens.

What a banger of an end. Watched whole season 2 in one sitting. Hope to see more yandere Ruby now. Still aboard the twincest fandom :D despite Akane and Kana growing on me, but now looking more towards the story.
