Well, this chapter was full of reveals as expected. So Allen in his past was a soldier who was found wounded by Nea and offered to become his host in exchange for an unspecified wish. Bookman Jr. (who also used the alias Lavi) apparently was going to be the host but he couldn't do it in time. And Apocryphos was the one who rejuvenated Allen and gave him his Innocence as it was hinted before, with "Lavi" apparently sacrificing himself in order to save Allen.

This was insane, but I don't think it will be the last part of the flashback. I at least thank that it wasn't dragged off and had some truly juicy info. I don't think we have seen everything about Allen's past, so I expect more reveals about him next chapter.

did lavi just die in the same chapter he introduced himself??? XDFDDthepoorguy

this chapter felt kinda rushed ngl. but at the same time hoshino is still keeping from telling us the important details about allen's relationship with nea, so the part that felt rushed is the purpose of this flashback that i believe that is lavi... because it's laviover now.
but srsly,, considering what happened in the last panel, shouldn't the flashback be over now?
(imagine it is really over but because allen literlly DIED by the POISON he just DRANK a chapter AGO. OH MY GOD why isn't anyone concerned about this!!!!???!! bro is literally seeing his life before hisEYES!

I don't think they meant to literally "die" --> Allen already made his farewell to Kanda before he left more or less, as he thought about how "Allen" may have never existed to begin with ---> by knowing the truth, "Allen Walker" as he is today will die, only for him to be back to original Allen (the soldier, not "Walker" then, but we don't know his full name), because your whole identity, wishes and values all come from your memories and experiences, so it might change his perspective and personality once he knows the truth about his past

well, i didn't find any resemblance so i stick by what we are told.

don't worry, i'm not a native speaker either.

yeah, i also don't think allen will literally die, it was just a saying, a joke, whatever you call it. the girl from the bookman clan made things so serious with that seed thing and paying with your life thing. this chapter also didn't help, we are seeing allen's previous life. he is "seeing" his life before him. the transitions before the time-skip have a fade effect so it adds more to the thing i said.
but i do think "lavi" dies here, literally the last panel show us something bad is happening to him
