| Damn, I was kinda hoping to see the sword turn red as well... Tanjiro should've mocked the bratty guy that was full of himself at the end of the trial. Honestly he had it coming. |

| Zenitsu got a sparrow instead of a crow LMAO x'D I wanna see more of the butterfly girl she's really cool!! They said that 5 of them survived, but there were only 4 of them there...I wonder where the fifth was I feel like in a lot of these kinds of shows, you'll get a protagonist who's overly whiny, cocky, etc. and you don't really like them, but I don't find like Tanjiro like that at all. He's a humble, good-hearted person, and I like him as a protagonist. Heck, he even helped me feel empathy for the thicc demon! |

| The choices in how they use the background music in this show are starting to annoy the fuck out of me. The story is solid enough so far, the animation is slick, but it feels like every few scenes they have to BLARE the OST to the point where it overpowers the entire scene. The bit at the end of the episode is a good example of this - Tanjirou is being assigned his first job, and they feel the need to blast "epic" music over the scene for no apparent reason. The music is louder than the dialogue! I realize that with the subs that shouldn't annoy me, but I like hearing the voices of the characters properly, even if I can't understand the language. It feels like I'm watching a Christopher Nolan film at times, but at least with him is seems like a deliberate choice that sometimes adds to his movies. With this is feels like incompetence. Sometimes it is better to let the music fade into the background and provide ambience, and just let the visuals or the dialogue carry a scene. It's not like the songs are bad, they are just not being utilized well. I realize I am probably the only person this really annoys, but shit like this drives me up the wall. If this continues I might switch over to the manga, and then check out the action scenes from the anime later. |
| Tanjiro came back from the Final Selection in one piece, and got a neat looking sword to boot. Pretty rad design, imo. Curious as to what the pitch-black colour actually represents. |

| I see Tanjiro more as a simple and plain crybaby as many others stated before. This guy cares, his is sensible to his bones, wishes well to the enemy he beats instead of hating them, and has a concerned face while doing so. Of course he cries, but for reasons I’d cry as well. I can relate and connect to Tanjiro more then other shonen main characters I met before, but that’s just my humble opinion. |
| I like the Urokodaki scene where he was crying underneath his mask to finally see one of his students alive and well, let alone him killing the demon that took 13 other students from him for good. Only issue I had with that ordeal was the music felt a bit too loud and overbearing, to force the emotions maybe a bit too much since that normally always the opposite effect. There are scenes in anime that do feel more powerful with the inclusion of music without being subtle like in Assassination Classroom, but it was built up to the music well enough, here everything felt quick and the content itself doesn't hit that strongly so with the loud music involved, felt a bit off for me in that department. The flashback for the demon before tried to show some level of sympathy and humanity hidden underneath, but I feel like it would have worked better if it didn't feel that short and stuck together. It again, felt like a desperate attempt to get something extra emotionally out of a battle that was already done with and my head moved on from that already. Tanjiro's now a Demon Slayer and he's already got an assignment regarding disappearing young girls at night. Hope the next episode's good. This one was average, not the worst this series has produced and does have a couple of legitimately good moments in it but nothing special either beyond that, with some directing issues present for me. |

| I am curious how all of these characters will develop over the course of the series. It definitely seems like at least a few will return. Also, Tanjiro certainly got a quest fast, and I don't know what to make of it. |
| The scene where Tanjirou arrived home and Urokodaki started crying was so touching. Loved that a lot. Kind of weird for that crow to talk, but I'm not surprised. Also those "comedic" bits at the end are kind of annoying. |

| The Hand Demon did not need that lame ass backstory shoved in at the last minute. I can't believe he touched it and put its hand on his face bruh. Nezuko and Tanjiro's reunion was so dramatic I laughed out loud. The music was so overly dramatic and the crying was so over the top. I understand it's meant to be emotional but it didn't feel like that was set up enough in the story for me. Maybe I'm heartless. |
| When I watched the last episode, a week before this one, I never thought I would be feeling sorry for that monstruous demon, but this episode was able to do it. It makes you really remember that all the demons that we are going to see from here on now were, sometime ago, a human. In this case, this demon has a similar story with Nezuko's, since he became a human after a demon attacked his family, and he actually was the one to kill his older brother, already as a demon, and you can see he loosing his humanity after that. But at the very end of his life, when Tenjiro hold his hand, he was able to remember a bit of his humanity, and you could actually see him crying, since he was scared of what happened to him all along too :( Well, death was the only way for him to escape. I hope that this isn't a foreshadowning for Nezuko's future... Anyways, the children's spirit was finally able to rest in peace. We can now see why Sabito wanted Tenjiro to slice that rock, only then was Tenjiro going to be able to slice that demon. Only 4 people ended this exam for the demon slayer guild, but then a guy appears and says that 5 people ended? Didn't get that, are we missing something, or was it just a honest mistake? The blonde guy from the opening made an appearance again, and is like what I thought he would be, from the spoilers I received. Anyway, the reunion of Tenjiro and Nezuko was really beautiful, and you could see that his master was actually crying to see him come back. At the end of the day, that place is now Tenjiro's home. Tenjiro got a pretty cool sword, and I wonder if he's going to his first mission alone, or with Nezuko or some other Demon Slayer. Anyways, I can already see that this Demon Slayer guild is going to be overworking Tenjiro as much as they can, I guess not even anime characters can escape from that. I suppose that the demon Tenjiro is going to have to face has the magic that his master mentioned this episode, because it just felt opportunistic for them to include that scene out of nowhere. Really curious to see how Tenjiro's first mission is going to go. So far, this anime has been surprising, especially because the first 2 episodes weren't THAT good, but now it's picking up pace! Really enjoyed these last 3 episodes! |
