Memories of Rio's past...I think this might be a recurring theme this season.

Aisha and the others had to deal with some magical monsters (revenants I think). However, this episode seems to introduce a bigger threat at who can manipulate them. Might be a buildup episode this time around. Pacing feels strange this season imo.

Who does not want a harem of pretty girls like the MC?

The fight scene was alright. The CG monsters don't really look that bad, But I wish the compositing was done better and they had rather kept the details less CG-ish.

Looks like Masato is finally getting a grasp of the strahlan language. Not sure if Miharu and Aki are fluent yet, but I doubt they'll be fluent in 2 weeks. Probably better in it than Masato, but I dont know.

We had practically no overlapping audio in this episode apart from Celia at the starting few seconds. A lot of focus was given on the strahalan language in the 2nd half. I feel they put a bit of effort into making this language.

Satsuki also show up.

That guy definitely turn those human into monsters.

I really like how they addressed Haruto wanting to keep things a secret about his past life. The conversation with Latifa basically touched on anything I would’ve asked. It would be a pretty big truth nuke to drop on the girls that he’s this person from their past life. I do hope he eventually tells them tho. Especially for Miharu who’s still in love with Haruto

But man Holy yap, these first three eps have been all dialogue and today when we did get action it was PowerPoint level animation. It’s been 3 years since season 1 so I can’t remember if there was a ton of action other than rescuing Celia, but hopefully we get more soon

I don't understand why he doesn't tell at least his little sister who he is. It would help them understand why he’s going out of his way to keep them safe. He keeps trying to play down the significance of his thoughts and feelings regarding them even though they're quite strong. He’s doing them a disservice by acting as if he doesn't care. I can't wait to see the story develop further.

Why would he tell new sister about his original life sister and GF and THEN ask her to keep it a secret? Doesn't he know that old saying that 2 people can keep a secret if one of them is dead?

IDK how he's going to manage to juggle this number of waifu.

So Masato, Aki, and Miharu were stowaways in the hero summoning of Satsuki and Takahisa—that explains why the other summoned hero (Hiroaki) could speak the language of the other world. The story development is a bit slow but still interesting. Now the other nations with their heroes are starting to make moves, but I wonder who the other three heroes are.

Rio is still keeping his past life as Haruto a secret, which is good, but when he eventually tells them or it gets discovered, Miharu might react happily. However, it seems like Aki hates Haruto.

So Haruto has seeked out the village elders in order to be able to dedicate more time to figuring out how to return Miharu, Aki, and Masato back to Earth. While that’s happening, it seems that we get to see Satsuki Sumeragi, who Liselotte seems to be familiar with, along with Hiroaki Sakata. Was she reincarnated as well?

At some point, Miharu might catch on to the fact that Rio has the memories of Haruto given how close she is, and it seems that her thinking this upset Aki.

Then we see the attack from the undead, in which Rio came in at the last moment to clap some cheeks.

There’s small things going on that will eventually lead to one big climax.

I don't know why but I love the OP's voice.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Nice to see our friends from the village of spirits again.
I guess Aki didn't have a good relationship with Haruto in the past.
At least we now know what happened to Satsuki, Liselotte will help her out.
Those were some interesting monsters but were easily dealt with.

I have ADD, ADHD & AUTISM, but this won't stop me. Let's keep having fun together.

People complain about Tensura being slow should be forced to watch this. Atleast that has steller world building, here the "meetings" are mostly about waifus.
Pacing last season was bit too fast now its bit too slow.

The conversation between Latifa and Rio was a good part. It's the most natural relation he has with these girls.
How can Haruto love Miharu all his past life but didn't immediately say that to her after finally meeting her for 10+ years, kinda baffling and unrealistic self control. It will get dragged on to a point where it won't get animated. Just spill the beans, it would be great to see her sisters face.

The action wasn't as horrible as I expected from the looks of OP. It was okish. Also Rio have to save the day by jumping from air, they can't let Aisha do that alone can't they.
The genericness of this anime is impressive.

Ok, could someone who knows, explain who the blue haired girl in the Palace is?

I don't remember anything about her from last season, and she just popped up in this season.

Why does she seem to know people from a previous world?
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

@Vanytas Well, I think with the confusion of the new arrivals, everything is kinda slowed so people can be updated and get their bearings, but with them moving tot the forest and Rio finally able to pay more attention to other things, it could get a faster pace, not that I mind the current pace myself.

Rio would never forget his past life’s memories. He used to be Amakawa Haruto and now he is in a completely different world.

Latifa is so cute and Rio would do anything to protect her. On the other hand, it’s cool coming from Celia Claire to help that boy learn that weird language to communicate with spirits (non-Japanese).

@stealthyone Well, first off, his little sister hates Haruto, as she feels betrayed after they got seperated when their parents divorced and her mother and her had a tough time after that. Second, Rio does not consider himself to be Haruto, and does not want to form attachments based on his previous life. He generally wants to avoid attachments, as he is on the path of revenge. Celia is the first one to help him open up and others are following, but at this point he wants to keep most people at arms length to avoid dragging them into his mess.

@NewestPersonHere How so? I mean yea, she is a manipulative and conniving royal, but she is not malicious much after she gets involved with the cast. Though she is more of a side character mostly to tease the rest of the growing group, so if you like it quiet, she is most certainly a disturbance.

@ejleon She is the leader of the Ricca guild and a noble responsible for the city of Ammande. Her guild specializes in Japanese style products, so the story already hints that she has a past related to Japan. Let's say hints to her past have already been shown, without spoiling her background. It will be a part of the storry down the line though.

Phew, I just caught up the LN at volume 25 (which is still ongoing in English), and I have literally bindged it within just a couple of weeks. The anime is now through most of the background and main character introductions (well, at least showing up on screen for a spell). I see why the anime adaption decided to merge some of the introductions, as there are a lot of characters, but it is somewhat confusing. Reading the LN really helps to understand who all those people are and what motivates them.

To be honest, I have watched seanon 1 and pretty much forgotten about it, and just now with seanon 2 did I notice how enjoyable the source material is. I can highly reccomend picking up the LNs, especially as it will take ages for all of it to be adapted if at all, which probably depends on how this season will be donig.

I already forgot what happened in its manga adaptation, especially now that it seems the TL group has officially dropped it (on account of the manga getting an official global licensing recently).
Not sure how far the source is LN is now, but it is still fun to watch.
