That Sai monster design is really really cool. Okay, I guess you guys were right and it is a looper in the end. Anyone has any theories what Shuuhei meant in the end?

the pacing is concerning, why did it take them half the episode to realize that this version of sai is blind? i like the story but with slow pacing and half length episodes i don't know how deep the story will go

It's obvious to the viewer that this walking Sai is blind, but the characters can't possibly know that just by looking at it in a dark hallway. Besides, they're supposed to be high school kids, so I bet they lack any monster experience.

The pacing is fine, it's fast and satisfying, the story might suffer further on as they've now added a time loop element to it. My guess is we're going to see Ryoka dying a lot.

@Philomc surely in the heat of the moment they're scared to shit first and only observant second, but it was still painfully obvious and by "half the episode" I didn't only mean the characters being slow, it's the story being told slowly. It would've been okay for them to take their time to realize if it wouldn't also mean that half the episode is being spent "why didn't sai kill me" "wym it let you live?" "idk it just let me live" etc... with 13 min eps we don't have too much to waste like this
