A great episode though it seems more like some twilight zone episode, anyway it's nice to see the secondary characters doing something as they mostly take a back seat.

Don't know if this is obvious to anyone but the doppelganger is a projection of Miyu's latent Shinma tendencies as well as her trepidation towards forming friendships with those around her (it was stated early on that if she gets too close to anyone she would suffer).

I really like that they give her a sense of humor to balance out her mostly stoic personality. That extra touch is crucial towards forming a well rounded character.

Basically no one is going to get this connection but this is about the same as that episode in Xi You Ji (Journey to the West) when Wukong's doppelganger comes in and gets mad at his master, which is a way of saying that Wukong has to overcome his anger towards Tripitaka and humble himself.

That makes a lot of sense, the projection of her shinma tendencies thing. It's a clever decision, and the episode fleshes her out a lot yeah!

Everyone needs to watch t least three good and three bad things in each genre or they will explode forever.
