Happy birthday to the greatest patriot who stuck to his ideals until the end and was ultimately right, Floch... King Floch, one of the best characters in the entire series who was not appreciated by the fandom and even hated because he was against the favorite characters of the majority...

It's already October 8 in Japan

Thanks for admitting that Floch actually is a villain, most of his fans don't even acknowledge that. Besides, I like many villains such as Sukuna and his fellows, so your accusation doesn't apply. I don't even hate Eren after what he did, but Floch and his troop is just some glorified wannabe Schutzstaffel.

I dislike Flock because of more so how he's radicalized with his view but I do understand his perspective. If anything I think it speaks volumes to his character that Flock made the audience (including me) dislike him. His character accomplished what it was meant for, to go against what people think should be "right". Do you save your race or the people that have imprisoned your race for generations slowly trying to extinguish your race? Sounds like an easy answer to me. I think he's a great antagonist and I like his character's purpose but I still don't like him on a personal level.

respectfully disagreed , I don't think isayama characterised any of his characters as "villains" Or "heroes" , rather the fact that they are just different viewpoints to a situation. But many writers do approach characters with their villain and hero thing which I'm not a fan of. I only used a reversal to say if floch haters have liked a character which is subjectively considered to be a "bad guy" (a villain) It's so boring to generalize character's and not understanding their respective! They represent human nature , theres so much to learn from these morally gray characters, youll appreciate them more once you recognize each human is capeable of doing the same ,much more interesting than the same old character who conforms to subjective morals.Same old bs approach that would be. So in short you misunderstood me.

I agree for the most part, but a characters popularity shouldn't effect your judgement. Sure some fans of him can be those nazi propagandists and radicalize floch but that doesn't effect any of my opinions in him. I like to think independently thats it.

@vinnywizanime I understand Floch well, he's a "kill or get killed" character, someone who doesn't believe in peaceful conflict resolution, and that's pretty much it, hardly anything else to learn from him. Such characters aren't anything new and neither are they inherently appreciable.

I'm pretty far left (ML) but I still like him, he was just way more believable and well written than anyone else in the last seasons. Its like that Nazi from the opening part of Inglorious Bastards, a character doesnt have to be morally relatable to be good.

@Zarutaku I feel you misunderstood me and this isnt the first time. Hardly anything to learn from him? You see but do not observe mate , whos saying floch teaches us to be like him rather the fact that he can be a precautionary tale for us and the fact that the world can turn someone to like this is a lesson that if we faced similar circumstances we would be like him, dont try to boost your ego or validate your self image by characterizing floch seperate from the rest of us as a wannabe nazi. Dont get me completely wrong, floch can give positive lessons as well , the floch of s3 teaches a lot about questioning your superiors.

That implies you think we should exercise caution to not be like him in such a situation, because what he did wasn't "right" and we shouldn't do the same.

You keep babbling mate. Huh, the human tendency to boost their own self-image by separating other supposedly "bad" humans from them (huh "I'll never be like them bcz I be different from them") . Let's talk about flochs experiences then , don't tell me you won't be like him if you faced similar circumstances, if you do believe you won't, then I'm sorry you seem like an insecure self validating person trying to convince himself he's a really good guy.

Whatever floch does or anyone does is not objectively wrong. But obv humans will stick to their inter subjective morals , floch can be a message that how war and repression can turn someone to a rebel for his country.

Floch haters ive seen are some of the most close minded and boring....

@Zarutaku This is very obviously not what i meant dude, i never defended floch for his intersubjective morals , honestly thats not how floch sees it i think , if you understand floch he doesnt actually think what hes doing is right, thats why he calls himself a DEVIL and the otehr yeagerists as well, thats why he called erwin a devil. Floch knew that eldia needed a leader who was a devil , someone willing to get their hands dirty, so he became one himself, many call him self-righteous but floch is self admittedly a DEVIL so yeah dude, you dont understand the story well at all, first you called him a villain which isayama wouldnt consider at all, its all perspective. Try to understand the story and the characters more bro and then argue.

@Zarutaku Floch believes he is a devil and a necessary evil meaning he thinks morals are objective, but morals are not objective, they are inter subjetive and as a viewer i dont see any villains , only viewpoints and perspectives and human drama at its finest, so i wont categorize floch as objectively evil like he did. I think youll prolly understand now what i said.
