I hated this one, it was infuriating.

First, Abel was being a jerk, comparing Georgie to Becky, saying that she should wash her hair because it is "smelling like sheep". Very fair of him to compare a working farm girl, to a spoiled rich "lady".

Then an invitation for her birthday arrives for the three of them, and since everyone in the family realized just how captivated Abel was by her, they decided to be in their best behavior in order to not shame him. Georgie even made a new, simple, but beautiful dress out of her curtains to accompany them, and a bouquet to present Beck with.

But as soon as they get there her intentions became clear. She goes out of her way to humiliate Georgie as much as she can, about her dress, about how she confused an organ for a piano, etc. The worst of it all was that Abel just sat there like a fool, and let Becky, and her friends trash talk Georgie. Arthur got rightfully angry, and tried to help her, but Georgie kept saying to him that it was "alright" because she decided to bear it all for Abel.

But Becky went as far as making her eat a pudding with alcohol to further turn her into a joke. This is criminal, or at least it should be. In the end because of a "sudden realization" Abel decided to leave with Georgie, and Arthur because she's the one he truly "loves", but he will need much more to win me over again. I'm totally rooting for the dashing, blond lad now, I mean, he can't be worse than Abel, or for Arthur, that was an ally for her, and still has feelings for Georgie even though he has been left aside lately.

Becky was cruel, and I can't believe that Abel took so long to decline her, especially after what she did to Georgie. Arthur came to Georgie's support much quicker, meaning that a possible rivalry between the two brothers may eventually occur.

Yeah, won't lie this was the most frustrating episode of the series I've seen so far up to this point. Becky's whole addition to the series so far feels largely to add more melodrama to the story with the old "bitchy rich girl" character trope getting milked and any reason why I loathe it with old-school shoujos like this.

Becky is an idiot. She literally just needed to be nice and it'd be no problem. Why Abel didn't say 'Becky I like you already, stop giving me reasons not to'. Also Arthur needs to stop conferring in Abel all the time. Just speak up or just do what you want when you need to.

I doubt this'll be the last of Becky but let's see
