How can it be that all of them are literal socio- and psychopaths. Somehow all of them are absolute maniacs

@Zarutaku yeah but i think that they were used to be humans. Even the arrancars were more humane which they hate yet they are even more gruesome

Prolly staying hidden for ages didn’t help, in my understanding the powers Ywach gifted them shaped their personalities too

Agree with this. I couldn't even take most of them seriously.

They see everyone else as inferior. That's how they've been taught by Yhwach. Same way how german nazis in WW2 were taught how to be complete psychopaths and ignore common sense for the sake of their own prosperity.

You know, let us put aside the fact that they are narcissistic a**ho**s that have no conscience.
Their personalities are just not interesting, nor are they entertaining or enjoyable.
They lack any depth, saving a few. That’s how I feel about them. Also, in the manga they are the very same.

They are supposed to be antagonists and villains we are supposed to root against, despite their grudge towards shinigami being totally valid.

exactly I feel like people in this thread know nothing about history or propaganda, if they did they would know there are many examples of this throughout history.

@Leonzanimelist No problem for posting your own opinion but thats not what i meant. It seems not like the typical german soldier but more like the pure evil from the higher fishes, like mengele for example but only that nearly everyone of them seems to be just that. But i do agree with the take that they just feel superior and have been taught a deep hatred against the shinigami which to be fair has some reasons to it

I felt the twisted personalities of the Quincies was one of the big missed opportunities of this arc: they're essentially humans who fought to destroy evil spirits but were wiped out for their efforts... so they have the potential to be complex antagonists that viewers (and other characters) can find relatable, even sympathetic, to the extent that good/evil isn't certain. But no, instead we inexplicably just get a steady stream of narcissistic mental asylum escapees with nazi undertones.
