| I always thought that after Gon powered up, he merely walked it off later, simply just a little tired maybe. But damn, since starting this arc, it was clear that was definitely not the case. And now in this episode, we see the state of his body underneath those bandages. They weren't joking when they said he was fighting for his life, on the verge of death. Dude literally looked like a rotting corpse. Seeing him like this just makes his scene destroying Pitou all the more powerful, getting even further insight on the amount of resolve needed for the task. |

| And, as expected, Gon is healed by the deus-ex machina asspull that is Alluka without any consequences whatsoever, even immediately reverting to his previous happy-go-lucky personality as if none of his development in Chimera Ant ever happened. Given how that was comfortably my favourite aspect of this entire show, I'm incredibly disappointed that they've just completely undone it like this: it's some insultingly bad writing, even by the standards this series has already set in that regard. I'm so glad there's only three more episodes left, cos they surely can't fit even more awful writing in after this. Right? |

| Damn, Gon was completely drained beyond belief. Nanika's powers do seem really overpowered but to be fair we've already seen similar powers during the Greed Island arc, Gon managing to restore an arm that was blown off and restore the other to full health. That said there has to be something more to her powers which I'm guessing we're not going to know the answers to in these last 3 episodes. Was awesome seeing Leorio and Gon re-unite, awesome hug! |
