Look Back is going to be even slower as an adaptation than Chainsaw Man

One of main complaints I saw regarding Chainsaw Man anime was about its pacing. But it seems like Look Back is going to be even worse in this regard. CSM adapted 752 pages (unadapted excluded) in 239 minutes (repeat and anime original excluded) and LB will adapt 141 pages in let's say 59 minutes (excluding credits). Quotients for both are 3.15 and 2.39 respectively. Look Back should've been 45 minutes long in order to reach Chainsaw Man level. Unless there are going to be a lot of anime original scenes, people who think that MAPPA ruined "Chainsaw Man pacing" are going to be dissapointed again.
Imagine normies saying: "Peaky Blinders is mid and overhyped. Just another typical crime drama show. Breaking Bad is much better lol.".

@Darconic Bruh, it took me only 1 hour at most to count all of it 😂

some of the best direction comes as a result of slow pacing, so I'll just wait to see how it's done

Not every manga is written is same pace. The density of scenes and dialogue pay big factor in how much screen time any adaptation requires.

Facts bro lol. It’s so funny how people are complaining before it’s even released

The initial reactions from the opening in Japan were overwhelmingly positive on Twitter. So I have hope that it's a good adaption.

1. there will most likely be additional scenes.

2. csm pacing felt off because they ended season 1 where nothing much had happened in the story

Being worried about the pacing before it’s released is pointless. Just wait and watch it, and then discuss how the pacing is.

Look Back is a special case where the anime will likely incorporate some original content to fill in spaces along with drawing out the best scenes and letting them breathe. All signs indicate that this is going to be a stellar adaption. Please take some time to think before you post in the future.

I agree with this and after reading the story, I find it difficult to believe that it will be anything other than fantastic.

I genuinely think the complaints over Chainsaw Man's adaptation are peak "people looking for something to be offended by just for the sake of being offended," so I think Look Back will be just fine.

Despite what all the action-hungry short attention span people on the internet say, I thought that the slowish pace of chainsaw man was great. It really gave the characters time to shine, and the nonstop action isn’t really important in the exposition section of the story anyway. I’m sure an emotional drama like Look Back would benefit from such an approach even more than CSM, as long as the writing and direction are good enough that it doesn’t feel overly drawn out.

Don't know where people are getting that CSM anime's pacing was "slow" to begin with.
