Interesting complicated feelings from Hiroto...

Instead of being fully hurt by Chika's misplaced words of anger of not understanding the fear of losing their own child,
he now feels a craving for his own child.

Arguably out of pettiness.
Even though he has his chosen lover (unknown to him that Miyako chose him for different reasons) and has a step-daughter, his family still criticize his life for not having his own child with a mother who already has one.

To be fair, in their right, it's because they worry about him for its complications of a step-child, but it also isn't fair that they seemingly don't fully respect his decision.

... I wonder what Miyako will do.
Heck, rather, what the hell is their plan. And what phone call did Chika receive? Will she save her big brother from these crazy women? Can't wait.

I love how we're finally getting through to Hiroto's inner thoughts, and man, it's not beautiful. I really relate to characters that are bound by relationships and always think it boils down to our deepest insecurities of losing our humanity and being alone. I don't think he can escape this level of manipulation no matter how hard he tries, but that's okay. Which is somewhat true, but what happens, when the two psychopaths after his seed turn on each other. Well done, author, you're doing such an amazing job.

yeah, nishi didnt have the chance to grow up init so his choices were dictated by the women around him and when he actually chose something for himself (even though he was lowkey manipulated) they disapproved of him. damn that has to hurt
