Gonna be honest I thought Ariel was Wakaba in the future, and decided to wage war to stop what she saw from the Heresy. This episode confused the fuck out of me.

NOTE: Heresy is a magic/resistance that affects/protects the soul. Taboo is the menu you saw and the effects that come with it.

You overlooked that Kumoko was probably "fully-grown" by the end of the first year (monster genealogy).
If she wanted to forcefully fix what she saw in TABOO, she should've been able to do it back then.

With that said, 15 years have passed-and you saw the human side 15-years later.

The development on all the spider was good, as usual. Everyone's complaining about Ariel in CGI but I hardly noticed... maybe because it was still miles ahead of any animation with the humans this episode
I was excited that the humans are finally going to the labyrinth, but every single thing about the beach and the water dragon was disappointing. The fanservice wasn't drawn well enough to be worth putting in at all (they could have worn much more logical swimming gear) and the swimming animation was bad enough to take me straight out of the moment. Not quite as bad as the coup action scenes a couple eps back, but still...They're obviously just progressing the human storyline out of obligation at this point, but they could at least cover over it with slightly better art and animation.

I'm just enjoying the story and adaptation, I've read LN and manga... Personally I don't mind much a bit clunky 2D animation here and there (I don't think they have big enough team to make it really smooth all the time, so it is what it is...), just fight scenes in 2D are a bit meh but it's nothing too disturbing to me. I know both sides of the story are important anyway. And Kumoko fight scenes have been entertaining to me!

Remember, D tells us before she is the most evil god there is and now gives a big explanation of everything... is it all true though? Or what is at least left out? Just something I want to tease you all with. ;)

Oh, I almost forgot. Remember Kumoko avoids direct confrontation with Mother because Mother is still (maybe) too strong. Demon Lord is way stronger, so...

There're only 2 characters that have romantic feeling towards Shun and those are Katia and Sue.
In one of the skipped episodes one of the first things Fei told Shun was that he's not her type and it was later reinforced when Fei told Katia that after some time of being a Dragon she stopped feeling anything towards humans.

oh good im glad its not an actual thing that would be so annoying!! thx for letting me know. i guess with katia id sort of be fine with it but i hate the weird brocon incest stuff that always pops in anime so the whole sue thing i also find incredibly annoying. cool that the fanservice could be worse ig? either way it annoys me and completely ruins my enjoyment. here to see cool spider and interesting plot not ever fanservice. generic super basic shun hero archetype also annoys me.,, i almost tune out his parts lmao.. just my opinion!

I mean, the romantic relation between Shun and Sue is completely one sided. Everyone knows that Sue feels something for Shun... even Shun himself knows it but he's hoping that this is just a phase and that Sue will be able to leave if as she grows.

The human segments are way better on the novel. Yeah, Shun is still a rock in the novel but it's the side cast and the several expansions to the worldbuilding what makes this segments good.
The anime skipped all the character development of Katia, Sue, etc... Even Ronandt (The Wizard from episode 10) has more screentime and development.
Technically s Spoiler so I'll put it in a spoiler box but at this point of the anime it doesn't matter anymore.

This is why I find funny that everyone calls Shun "generic Isekai MC" 'cuz being an Isekai MC would imply that he always win easily. In reality Shun lost every single fight when the opponent is a non-monster:
- Hugo = lost (twice)
- Sophia = lost
- Katia = Katia defeated herself
- Skipped fight - lost

And when the battle is aganist a monster Fei is always the one that does the heavylifting (like in this episode by example).

i remember trying the novels at one point and liking them before i found out about the anime! i like watching anime first then reading manga then the novel, that way it feels like theres always new material. its really not the circumstance/power level that i refer to when i talk about generic male mc!! i mean specifically the personality type, kinda like dense savior hero sort of. annoys me to no end!! i like spider MC!! interesting and unpredictable sort of, even if she wins her fights. not generic hero dialogue from her

In the novel Shun comes more as reckless than bland, he's always trying to push forward 'cuz "I'm the Hero" not caring if the wall in front of him is beyond what he can do. In his mind a Hero can't run which is funny because that's the total opposite of Julius.
Shun lived all his life thinking that Julius was the all-powerful Hero but skipping one little detail... Julius was already a Hero with 10 years of battle experience and was the student of the most powerful Human mage (Ronandt).

Julius was fully aware of his limits and wasn't afraid of running away if the situation was too difficult, he always said "I'll try to save as many as I can" not "I'll save everyone". Meanwhile Shun always needs someone to dragg him out of the impossible fights.
This is the most interesting part of volume 11 (The Julius Focus Volumes), see how night and day Julius and Shun are when it comes to being a Hero.

The MC suddenly getting immortality was unexpected. She seems broken now but not compared to some of the other characters such as the demon lord. Those stats were insane!

We got the girls in swimsuits in this episode! MC was obviously the sexiest with that two-piece.

wtf was that ending? why is spider girl in a goddamn boat? why did she re-kill that spider puppet when she killed it in the previous episode? why is she out of the labyrinth at all? seriously, wtf

but my theory was apparently wrong. spider girl isn't demon lord. hahaha. not sure why demon lord cared about a spider though, random

that girl turning back into human form is DUMB. her character went back to being shit when she became a human again. and the whole 5 minute long underwater battle scene was bullshit, especially since the one who slayed the sea dragon couldn't even f***ing swim!

i don't understand why they have to go into the labyrinth. i thought they just had to walk by/past/around it to get to the elves...

this episode is what i was referring to when i said i was concerned about the possibility of this show nose-diving. and this was the start of a nosedive that was only saved by the shock cliffhanger ending of the demon lord shredding spider girl

one more episode until i'm caught up with the dub

Fei didn't slay the sea dragon. She merely exploded the breath attack with her own. The explosion flung them into the labyrinth.
The reason Fei didn't want to go in the water is her weight didn't change with her shape. She isn't sure she can swim against that negative bouyancy.

The Elf Village is on a different Continent. The only ways across are:
1. Teleportation Portal - all guarded by the Empire. No go.
2. Try to fly or boat across an ocean teeming with sea Dragons - that won't go well.
3. Go through a Labyrinth with exits on both continents.

Kumoko is on the boat fishing. Rest and Relaxation after months of constant stress.

Oh so the demon lord is also a spider? That means the MC can turn human which was also highlighted with the humanification skill.

I love thinking about where the MC could be in the current timeline and what she's doing. Cause its highly probable that the white girl with the demon lord is the MC but it also could be she's just roaming around like normal.

And wtf? The sensei's an asshole. She literally knows what happened to everyone else still did not even tell the others. They were there friends. And she talked about their deaths so lightly. Either this thing was not properly adapted from the LN or there is some problem within the LN itself.

Damn can't even fish in peace as a spider. Some big reveals thanks to Administrator D being in a good mood and also surprising to see at the end that Kumoko isn't the demon lord. I suspect elf sensei keeping things secret because of Administator D who wants to keep things amusing.

It's Amazing, also i think it's very underappreciated i mean i suppose people don't think that i would be great cause of the whole spider thing BUT YOUR WRONG its one of my favourite anime out there and I'm really begging for a season 2 which i don't often feel that way when there hasn't been any response on one but for this one im literally going to lose it if they say there's no season 2.

Am I the only one to find that the 2 characters there with the Blue hair and the dragon girl They have a crazy advantage compared to all the other students including Kumoko too!
I don't really understand why the dragon girl makes a move and gets what she wants! Whereas we see Kumoko toiling for hours and hours and days and days just to level up and evolve.
