Is Buffy the Vampire Slayer like this?

Curious. I planning to watch Buffy, been re-watching Bleach in advance since I heard Buffy is like Bleach but far worse and wanna compare them.
Do you think Bleach should be a benchmark when watching Buffy in terms of shows like it: teenagers (or semi-adults) fighting off demons (heard this is what Buffy is about also but not fully sure, avoiding spoilers except for the synopsis and general ideas)
Not a fan of teen shows or anime anymore, but becoming nostalgic about somethings I used to love.

I love both Buffy and Bleach but the 2 really have nothing in common besides the simple things you mentioned (teenagers and demons). Buffy the vampire slayer is a classic though, you should definitely give it a try. Going into it expecting it to be similar to bleach would be a waste of time though, just watch and have fun!

Not in my wildest dreams would I thought I would hear Buffy compared to Bleach lmao.

That said uh.. Buffy, while it has a decent bit of action I wouldn't say that's the main appeal. It's more about the character drama and the early 2000's charismatic warmth it was all packaged up in.

It can be at times pretty serious and artful as well.

...and now that you've mentioned it, I'm eyeing another rewatch. Don't do this to me and my backlog! q_q
