I think the biggest reason why Miyazaki is coming back to make another "final film" is because of the latest Ghibli movie that is getting a ton of backlash which is Earwig and the Witch. It also can just be Miyazaki missing the whole process of making movies/animation.

As for the Oscars, it's going to be very hard for any Japanese movie to win it since Hollywood or America itself doesn't even let their movies have the same amount of time to be in Theaters. <-- Which is unfair tbh. I'm glad though that Godzilla Minus One is getting the recognition it deserves.

But we need Japanese animation movies besides Demon Slayer, Dragon Ball & One Piece to get ACTUAL recognition as well in America.

It seems like many DISNEY or PIXAR fans don't even know that Studio Ghibli exists and that alone, makes me sad.

I'm even more disappointed in myself for not having watched any of them as a kid/teen but as a 21-year-old somewhat immature person lol.


(Euphoria) I 100% respect your choice to pick Jules. Even though I "hated" her for cheating since I've been cheated on too, I still love her character as a whole and can recognize that not all cheaters are "despicable pieces of shit". I just hope for the sake of the future of Rue and Jules, that she won't go that route again because quite frankly, Rue doesn't need that. As for the season 3 storyline, I don't know how they going to write off Fezco's character... I'm simply not ready for it.

its a bit sad that a character that i think is an accurate representation depressed teenagers can cause such a debate.

was also forced to read the outsiders in english class. i'll admit thought the outsiders was pretty good, i always like stories set in that time period

my guess is people only hate him because they either dont understand him or were forced to read catcher in the rye in english class. its funny seeing people still argue over him online
