Why did Bum check multiple times the pills basket and looked at that room continously?

Maybe Koogi wanted to fool the Readers. He hid the present for his abusive Rapist boyfriend and wanted to keep it secret.

Isnt that a bit of a stretch from the autor? Why didnt Sangwoo find it when he looked at the pills then? Why did Bum constantly look there, and if he had it at that point, why didnt he gave it to him before? Also, did Bum's school friend gave him enough money for a ring seriously?

That whole part came off as contrived for sure.

Maybe because Bum simply hid the present that good? And Bum constantly looked there to keep it a secret and also again, by the Author, to make Bum seem suspicious which turned out to be wrong after all.
Bum wanted to make it special, he didn't wanted to casually give him it. As for Bum's school friend, I got no clue, seems like a plothole by the Author just to justify how Bum managed to buy one since it would otherwise make no sense since I doubt he would have the money for it in the first place.

For the final arc the story began to rely a LOT on coincidences and misunderstandings. What happened was Bum simply hidding the marital ring he bought in there and accidentally tipping over the pills, leading Sangwoo to believe he was trying to poison him.

On one hand it was good because once Sangwoo realized the connection between Bum and his mom he started to believe Bum would act the same way, but yeah the execution wasn't nearly as smart as the idea.

I just realised after reading the other replies here that he'd hidden the ring in the basket above the shelf and baited Sangwoo, unconsciously maybe, (cuz it's a given fact that he's quite the dumb person) as for the ring, maybe he worked a few part-time jobs, cuz the lady from his high school couldn't possibly have given him all the money to buy the ring.

Bum isn't dumb (He literally went to college) nor did he bait Shitwoo. He was hiding it there and it just so happend that the pills fell down, that's it. As for the girl, that's bad/inconsistent writing. Now that i think about it, despite knowing that she lent him money, it couldn't possibly have been enough for Bum to buy one.

I think that maybe Bum wanted to poison Sangwoo searching for the pills. It is also possible. Who knows.
