Is there a possibility of having a second part of Horimiya: Piece until the whole manga is adapted, or there is not enaugh material left?

Is there a possibility of having a second part of Horimiya: Piece until the whole manga is adapted, or there is not enaugh material left?
I feel like even though they are adapting some things, there is still lot's of things left.

Also, are they making it in cronological order, or are they taking random bits from everywhere?

They are adapting most of the chapters, and very few chapters will be left. They'll cover it in an OVA, probably.

Also, it is not in chronological order, they are partially adapting and it's in a different order in the anime.
Such as episode 8 consisted of chapters 66, 82, 83, 87, and 115. Whereas, Episode 9 consisted of chapters 69, 110, and 112.

There's still a fair amount of chapters that would kick off 3 to 4 more episodes, but not entirely a season. And I wouldn't guarantee that some of those would be adopted because, at this point, it doesn't really make sense (ex. adapting more chapters where Hori and Miyamura's earlier interactions before they became a couple)

Most studios wouldn't really bother adopting more chapters in a manga that's already insignificant to the overall narrative the anime sets out (we just got lucky with Horimiya: Pieces).

The whole “piece” thing is a mess, imo.
It should have been a complete series. Sure, it’s always interesting to expand the events and plot a little, but the chronology just isn’t there. Which confuses me a lot. When did these things happen in the main series? You don’t really know.

So I’m left to wonder how the manga is in comparison. Should I give it a read?

The manga is great. I recommend.

I mean, in an ideal world the whole manga would have been adapted right off the bat in a 24 episode show. But we know that limitations like budget & popularity don't allow this all the time. I'm grateful the original show was adapted at all so we could see the characters come to life.

They are making each episode with a Theme with stories from the manga.

Like ep 9, they took random stories of that teacher, ep 8 was about Yanagi, ep 5 was about Iura, ep 1 was a bit about Miyamura hiding his tattoos.
