I like to imagine that one of his death would be by hands of Risotto Nero, my man was so close to victory, as for your what if scenario, it needs more than just a "what if" than what leads to those circumstances that you want others to imagine, or you're leaving very what if to others imagination.

That would be way more painful than dying in a road accident, seeing/feeling your own autopsy or anything else.
