I haven't read the manga, so I don't know how the rivalry between these two well-written characters will develop. I'm not sure who I want to see prevail. I like them both. Honestly, all the characters in this show are really good.

Although I am more of a Kana fan, I must say with absolute certainty that I love both of their characters.

Sadly both of their character developments were ignored due to the shipping wars. Both are well-written characters, especially Kana since she is probably the most relatable character in the series.

I love them both. So I can't pick. 🥰

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

I like Akane, but I love Kana. Kana for me is relatable, entertaining, knowledgeable and realistic (yeah realistic in a fictional show, whatever 😂). While aside for Akane's talents, she's kinda that cliche timid anime girl, with hot looks (which would explain why ppl automatically like her). Ppl might find Kana kinda annoying, but that's what makes her unique imo, plus her character development is great, she's not just into only Aqua(like other Shounen female leads whose sole purpose is to crush for the MC), she also her own self aspiring to be an capable actress despite her popularity downfall and neglected by the same ppl who supported and lifted her up. She's also just downbad for a boyfriend😂

I thought Akane was a more interesting character. Felt pretty emotionally distant from most of the OnK cast, but Akane was the closest I got to caring about any of them.
