| Today was a 10th anniversary stream during which, among other things, they announced a new film and revealed a key visual for it - Psycho-Pass: Providence. They also seem to be teasing more announcements for October when actual 10th anniversary of the series will be. Based on the visual it looks like this movie will take place before season 3. You can see that Yayoi is still an enforcer, Mika is still in her inspector clothes as opposed to her Chief outfit in season 3. Also the two men in the back are Arata's father, Atsushi Shindou, and Kei's older brother, Akira Vasily Ignatov. From season 3 we know they knew each other and that both have perished during a big incident that happened before the events of Season 3. Also, because of that same incident Akane ended up in jail. So it looks like this movie will deal with some of the big mysteries set-up in season 3 - explore Kei's and Arata's closest relatives, as well as explain what happened to Akane and how and why she ended up imprisoned. So all-in-all this film should bridge the gap between Sinners of the System trilogy and Season 3, as well as finish setting up a future season/installment that we got cliffhanger for at the very end of First Inspectior. Sound interesting to me and I am looking forward to see how it all played out.  |

With how Season 3 ended and taking into account all the characters and plot-lines it introduced, there is for sure season 4 in the pipeline. I assume it will be announced when this movie starts screening in cinemas (same with how S3 was announced with the release of the last Sinners of the System movie), or they might even announce it before then during anniversary in October. |
| I hope I can watch this movie in my country before an S4 announcement. S3 was fragile compared with S1 and S2, but at least the ending was decent enough. |
