I dont know what I was expecting but I guess its an alright first episode I don't have any high expectations but I think it will be a fun anime to pass the time !
Many years ago I remember discussing the state of anime, specifically the isekai genre with a couple of my weeb friends in an anime club I joined in uni… We talked about how wack it’s become, specifically the long a$$ titles, as well as isekai being too weird lol, anyways this was one novel that was brought up, and for it to have an anime now, somehow feels nostalgic and brings back fun memories again~
They were giving our poor protagonist a gypsy beating when all he wanted was to be useful to them by selling quality products at reasonable prices, luckily Lammis came to the rescue, without a doubt this anime is going to be out of the usual clichés, I imagine which will be something similar to "Reincarnated as a Sword" that was broadcast a couple of seasons ago, I'll wait for you next week :D
Not bad, not bad at all. Casting Fukuyama Jun was a great choice, since most of the character comes from talking alone and there's not much room for development otherwise.
The idea is ridiculous but it's handled well, they will go to a magical engineer and it might get even more interesting.
This MC takes the cake for dumbest way to die that I recall seeing in any isekai. Couldnt just yell out to the driver they are going to lose their cargo? Lol
Required a lot of suspension of disbelief for how quickly they figured out how to operate the vending machine though, feels like maybe that segment was a little -too- smooth
Now this is something interesting! I thought Reincarnated as a Sword was the strangest way to be reincarnated, but this beats it XD. I thought the guy died while holding the vending machine was how he became like that, but the gods work in mysterious ways. It was nice he finally met someone like Lammis while being stuck, and it's fun they try otherworly-ish food though him lol. I bet when Hulemy looks at Boxxo and helps him talk more with Lammis. Now that I think about it, this is kinda like Reincarnated as a Sword, just minus the fighting side by side part.😅
why the hell someone in that world would know how to use a damn vending machine
is like an alien comes from nowhere and brings a machine from his ass and the first thing you do is press buttons in the machine
and my main question is
tf the story will be about?
i mean, what could you do with this story and 12 eps?
Well a kid with slimes and a laundry could made like 24 eps but the mc here is literally the machine... NOT THE SUPERVISOR OF THE VENDING MACHINE
This was sillier than I thought it would be...guess I'll have to watch it. :D
I was wondering why he didn't use relocation when the frogmen were beating on him, but it all worked out. Too bad he can't share any of the money he's made with Lammis or at least give her freebies for carrying him.
this is some nice isekai sol, pacing and narrating style a bit like isekai nonbiri nouka, but with an absurd premise that kinda works. a bit esoteric. the art and sounds are also both not too special, but overall a show that might be jice to have for this season. lammis is also pretty likable.
I can't believe this sort of outlandish af idea is even working, tho I was very excited to watch this when I first saw its page here because of how utterly ridiculous this seemed ahahahah
Still, it was an enjoyable first episode and was interesting to see how things would work out for a vending machine
So let's see Lelouch as a vending machine and Eiko as an adventurer. All these items sure take me back. Hakkon/Boxxo is convenient for those wondering at night in the urban jungle, but he is considerate to not sell filling items in the day for the sake of other businesses.
honestly i didnt think this would be much since the concept is insane like who would watch a series about a vending machine. but for some reason i was able to watch the first ep in its entirety and surprisingly enjoyed it despite not much happening in it. Idk its a mystery but i think thisll be a good show to kick back and watch for the wholesomeness. still the fact he turned into a magic vending machine of all things is so weird even for me but i still liked it and imma probably keep watching for fun. thats it i give this ep a 9/10
tetrix1993 said: Lammis has the same voice as Maple from Bofuri! No wonder she sounds so familiar. And she's big... Isekai + vending machine, weird combination. Let's see how well it will goes from here. The food reminds me of Campfire Cooking anime airing back in April. I don't think any of the canned food or drink are real products.
Thanks for pointing this out, I thought they sounded familiar.
I enjoyed it. The system thinker in me was wondering where the villagers were getting the money for the items but I stopped thinking about that and just enjoyed the ridiculousness of it all.
Why am i even watching this again? oh well.....
remains to be seen
i mean, you and i both know that, if his set of lines doesnt get to increase it'll be very, very sad. though arguably im assuming that the story is functionally going to revolve around the OTHER characterS
also isnt it strange that the isekai uses yen?
the thing is, if his points and moneh are just going into thin air, technically moneh is being taken out of circulation right??
which means, even if he is creating items out of thin air, the money supply is (technically) going to sloowly run out.
conversely, cant they just print moneh to make things the other way?? economics man
also...you'd imagine, does he need to sleep? and wouldnt he go crazy by just sitting there for 24 hours with literally nobody
i suppose once he gets famous the real problem would be being overworked
question is what happens if he actually breaks? well we'll see then
gtting mobbed immediately (technically its been a day but who's counting) on isekai is a pretty sad way to start things, imagine how many people would b dead if they were immediately attacked.
(or you could be like certain people, who reincarnated at full power or almost full power)
actually telepathy would be interesting, if only because communication. I've also noticed that, so far, telepathy seems like a pretty rar power for isekai protagonists to have, they usually have teleportation but not telepathy
well abrupt start aside, seems like th monstrs finally got bored and left
aaand looks like the main(?) girl is finall yhere
although....i was not expecting her to have an accent, thats pretty uh hmm. not sure how it's going to be like listening to this every episode(?)
vending machine soup though. i guess he's technically (do we even know his name), a super advanced pro vending machine that has both cold and hot functionality
also if his base items are selling for silver, they must be pretty expensive....
fascinating thing is that while its not quit full spectrum, its interesting she immediately found out a way to communicate with yes and no questions, intriguing. well plot convenience but better than nothing i guess
question is...vending machines arent known for bing light, how on earth are they going to transport him?
it is interesting how/that she immediately jumped to the conclusion that he's sentient but sure ok
i mean, it would be kinda jarring and/or unfair if he just unlocked full talking functionality, but its also kind of funneh in both yes and no that he has to talk with canned lines
i mean to nobody's surprise, lamis/lammis conveniently is just able to carry him (its not like he's going to be able to tell his name anytime soon)
it is an intresting economics thing, he neeeds/wants points, so he cant lower the price too much, but finding the correct price is interesting.
kind of absurd prices for just plain water though
also so far, i know the whole point is that its a vending machine, but isnt the selection of items kinda eh? hmm
i mean at the very least, she should maybe get a trolley or wheel attachments, but it seems they're probably going to go the manual route?
it's still early, but looks like lamis is really(?) Really strong, but actually hitting things is the difficult part. but good and convenient for carrying (him) around
sorting out the economics situation is going to be a thing, but presumably the macroeconomics is going to be conveniently swept under a rug
i was thinking he cant or wont increase his physical size, so his selection of items at one time is limited(?)
except that he can just swap out the items i guess
So that was ep 1. kind of your typical ep 1, though a bit on the slow side, only 1+1 main character, for better or worse, remains to be seen.
Since its only ep 1 there's not much to talk about, its not the best ep 1 I've ever seen, but not terrible either, and nothing overly cringy yet. Though not much content either.
Lamis/Lammis at least appears to be a pretty good girl so far, but anything/everything depends on what happens later on.
So far there hasnt been any actual combat, which I'm assuming is going to be a thing next ep. The OP/ED hasnt shown up yet either but thats a separate thing I guess.
