| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Interesting. This felt like an episode of Star Trek. Of course with time travel there are always paradoxes, and if one of the conductors really was older, he'd remember the event, even expect it. But maybe it's some kind of alternative universe thing; there are always Maetels guiding young boys, accompanying them to the decision between becoming a man or a cyborg, so to speak. Then again, we've got hints in the past that this is not the first time Maetel has taken someone under her wing. Oh and once again Maetel has disappeared, only to be found unconscious and without her clothes. The biggest mystery is not what happened to her, but how she always manages to lose the clothes somewhere :D |

| Basing from the reaction of the conductor it seems the other 999 was from the past, but then looking at the comparison they made with the guns I'm not exactly sure (maybe they're from another dimension/universe?) but what I do wonder is why Maetel was also on that train with a similar yet different boy than Tetsuro? Has this something to do with her secret and the end goal of having a mechanical body? That planet as well was very interesting and to see both of the same kind of character types of Tetsurou together made it quite interesting as well, either way this sure is getting really interesting near the ending! Looking forward to see what's next. @Feorg That's indeed the most questionable mystery of this whole anime, how she always manages to get naked before being found unconscious :p |

| This is low-key further confirming the theory that Maetel is on a endless journey. Tetsuro is just one of many boys. The Conductor never fails to amuse me and there were two of him. Double W. And two naked Maetels. Indeed a mystery, lmao. |

| "To make up for the delay caused on the last plane"... What? Last planet, they departed early. I don't think I ever remember the 999 leaving later than like, 10 minutes after the planned time, and the only time it stayed in the planet's orbit after departure was the gold planet (IIRC), which wasn't even in Andromeda. If he said that it was because of a detour, I might think the episodes were out of order, which actually doesn't contradict anything. They did a few in Andromeda. However, this means that they're not showing us every "planet" that the 999 is going to, which is quite weird, especially since it would have been the first planet they left late from. They do say at the beggining "It's a long way to Andromeda", but as Andromeda is also what's written on the pass, I assume he means the planet, and not the galaxy. Or maybe they really do have everything out of order except the 2/3 parters, after the comet episode. Edit: After this 2 parter, they say, upon arriving on the planet, that they're close to the free robot bodies planet. Maetel, here, says they have a long way to go. Pretty much confirms one of my theories. |
