What a rush…! WHY?

They covered 63 chapters just in 13 episodes. It is nearly 5 chapters/episode. Why did they do that? They will ruin and rush the whole thing. The story could be good in this case, but I think it’s too much. With slower pacing, it would be really good too. I want more Bleach, not less. And a good adaptation, not a rushed one. Even the fillers better than a bad canon…

Bleach chapters are very quick to read so for bleach it’s actually pretty decent pacing.

Believe it or not, it was well adapted, we could say nothing was left out, they did a good job adapting a whole 60 episodes. Before watching the season, when I was reading the manga at that time, I thought they skipped bunch of things and rushed it, but after finishing manga and second season in anime, I was like "wow, they did adapt pretty good the whole thing"

why are you making a thread without even watching it in the first place?just bc the chapters it adapted is a lot doesn't mean it's rushed as others already said bleach's chapter are a quick read and aren't that huge,the adaptation was flawless heck they even added stuff to it that we were begging for and some other stuff as well

it's pretty normal for shonen weekly manga like bleach to make short 5-10 page chapters since they have put out a chapter every week and want to maintain a quality VS. quantity control.

Bleach chapters are already short asf, plus they will probably change/add things to make it longer, especially to fix the rushed ass ending

I saw a page, where all the episodes have the connecting manga chapters listed, and the average was 2-4 chapters. In the new arc, it is 4-5 chapters, and there is an episode with 7! chapters. And they wrote that average chapter long is 19 pages. But if you write is it good, then Iím a little bit calmed down. But it means not so much episodes for such a long arc, which makes me sad. I want more, even fillers or anime canons, or slower pacing.

The fast pace is great because it'll free up space for anime only content in the future where the arc needs it the most. So deal with it, and be grateful. Or would you rather have another hueco mundo arc where the pace is slower than your Grandma?

Um... No I guess. It was a lot better than what happened in hueco mundo. Like that thing went on for an eternity. So I personally think that Pierrot actually nailed the pacing for TYBW

The pacing was pretty good actually. It doesn't only cover the whole chapters it even adds anime only scenes, so no clue what you are talking about

It’s because they’re cutting out most of the comedic moments for the sake of adding new scenes. Stop whining and enjoy the damn show. Kubo literally confirmed that in his Q&A discussion

Hey man, have you even actually read the Bleach manga?
The manga has a lot of panels which consists of either big close ups of the characters showing their emotions or big almost full body shots of the characters showing body language. That's been a thing since very early on but even more common in the latter half of the manga. The final arc would also get more panels that were little more than "special effects" or just showing some character's power or reiatsu going from one place to another, which we would later realise was the product of Kubo's deteriorating health and having to rush the manga like that.

Also, as some others have pointed out, this anime is adapting out most (not all) the comedic scenes in favor of a more serious atmosphere. So yeah, taking all that into acount, the current pace is not only great to adapt almost all the important canon stuff, it also allows the staff and Kubo to actually expand on some scenes or add new, but still canon, passages.

actually it was very well adapted and seemed pretty good, but if you read the manga you'd see that they did remove a few minor details and comic relief moments.
but still at the end it was still very nicely done

That's not a good excuse imo. They rushed the pacing so much that they ended up cutting some content that was in the manga.

I feel like 15 episodes for the first cour would've been more appropriate than 13. That way stuff that was cut could've been kept, and some of the fights and plot points that happened off-screen could've actually been shown. I figure that the next cour might solve the pacing issue, but we'll have to wait and see.
