It was a waste of time. Nothing special happened.
I read that it was meant to symbolize the author's friend's sudden death. That's my only way to justify reading this.

The manga is very very simple, it's completely understandable if you find it to be a waste of time, but the value for me is that it creates empathy for a character with only 99 3-panel pages and then, when I realised, I was sad for a croc that I didn't even know 20 minutes ago.
It's quite minimalistic, but a fast and comforting read for me. Nonetheless, if you expect any kind of greater construction, it doesn't have any
