| The half-human, half-beast King Leonhart being aggressive to his beastkin about Sariphi abiding in him, it's a big woo-ha given that this is the first time that it's happened. Leo, who really wants to protect the sacrifices since the first day, that has always been the way of life until Sariphi's arrival. The royal banquet to prove that Sariphi should still be a human sacrifice, that at least is still the precedent standard set for the public. But in private, Leo can drop his guard towards her, and the example of Leo being a carpenter bee, NGL I love the imagery, and that tells of the affirmation from the innocent girl to the sham of a beast king. The day of the royal banquet, and even as Anubis objects Sariphi's involvement in this, she has to be on her best behaviour and act like the typical sacrifice...which earns the ire of even the noble beasts as well. And when Sariphi goes to serve them, they were taken aback, and soon, the banquet resolves into its own. The workers are in a hurry to get things going, and Sariphi takes delight working together with Cy and Clops, though one chameleon that still spites her, Leo doesn't take too kindly, for harm towards her is considered harm towards him. Leo taking Sariphi on a joyride on his holy beast familiar Gwiber, and no matter how the human girl feels like she's shortchanging him, just as how much he almost caused a commotion, he can be sure that she'll be there to stop him, and progress together as both king and queen. The Beauty and the Beast, in tandem, with the ever so classic Disney-ish kiss. That's sweet, and it's going to get better from here on. |

| Another cute episode. Taking on a human wife was always going to have repercussions and make people question Leonhart’s leadership. The banquet situation actually helped the situation because now people see how kind Sariphi is and hopefully that’ll calm things down. Hanakana as usual turns in a wonderful performance. Ngl the age gap here still a little weird.. you’d think the vassals would care more about that than about her being human.. but it’s fiction so we move |

| So far Sariphi is handling the discrimination well. Although it's a tall task, she will slowly clear up the prejudices against humans and get accepted as Queen. The question is how the beasts learning about the King's secret would affect her endeavour. This show is seriously cute, no small thanks to Hanakana. |

| I thought the pacing was way better in this episode and the moments between the characters felt much more natural. So far the premise is a bit cliche with its Beauty and the Beast story beats, but it’s been enjoyable enough thus far. As others have said, I don’t like how drastic the age gap is. I wish the people behind tv shows and anime understood that young girls - the demographic for their media - would enjoy a relationship between a young adult and a stoic man (or a teen girl and a broody teen guy!), too. You don’t have to keep making men in their 30s fall in love with 13 year olds to get the benefit of representing your viewer’s age and what kind of men they’re into, I promise. |
| Cute show, but wow already the first kiss in two episodes. Shows that a kind heart can sometimes tame the wildest beast. I honestly expected a few years time skip before that happened though! |
| I like this show so far so its makes me sad that shojo anime recently havent gotten the budget they need. i keep imagining how good some of these scenes must look in the manga compared to the show while watching. the only thing that weirds me out is that Sari looks so fricking young. I'm a humble mosterlover i don't care about that. im guessing shes supposed to be a young adult at least??? |

| Food makes every forget their bigotry. NICE. Cy and Clops basically being fangirls of the romance between Leo and Sariphi. Spot on. EVERYTHING THE LIGHT TOUCHES IS MY KINGDOM. |

| Okay that ending was super sweet. I know that she felt bad for doing that to him in public, stopping him showing his power that he's not one to be trifled with, but still. She's kinda self deprecating, smiling about her own demise and how she's a burden to him. Glad he cleared the air. Is he able to see through Cy and Clops and that's how he knew she was depressed and then summoned her? But yeah that lick 100% caught me off guard too lol. But the end shot of her kissing his nose was super great. "A reason to keep on living." |

| A bit of a slow pacing burn. Least insofar. No real complaints either. However no real serious merits. I'll stick with it for now. |
