I know the studio usually doesn't make second seasons, but I'm still optimistic because:
- Fran hoverboarding the sword in the intro is season 2 content
- Another show from the same studio, The Wandering Witch has scenes that set up plots for season 2. If they really didn't want to make a sequel they wouldn't have included those scenes.

That's not odd. Quite a few prefer rating the show after completing it. Others change the rating based on how the show ends. So, this change is quite common.

Isekai seem to get second seasons more easily now, so I suppose this one will be dependent on BR pre-orders and ratings, and probably only in comparison to executive expectations, not necessarily our bar of what we think merits another season.

pretty sure that once a show is set as completed in the mal database, any ratings from people that watched less than x episodes or x percent of the show get excluded from the rating. Most of the time those ratings tend to be pretty bad, so you'll likely see this score increase for every show, some more than others.
