| Really not the best way to draw an audience in lol, that first forest dragon was absolutely atrocious. Everything afterwards was alright though, I also like the VAs they got for this... |
| Who knew carrots were so overpowered? The dragon was awful though. A silly and fun first episode. The way the mc was tricked was funny. |

| That's a first: destroying a dragon with a carrot, one-punching the Demon Lord and rescuing the princess in one whole episode. What did I just witness? Fal is nice though and meanwhile we have this MC that only thinks about farming! |

| Even for the genre that was stupid. One Punch Man was a parody, people. I did normal things until I could take out the final boss in one hit does not make a serious plot. |

| Wow just wow. A princess gets kidnapped and .. nobody talks about it, not to mention nobody even attempts to resolve it. It's just a plot device to play into the power fantasy. Then suddenly a new crisis without any buildup or stakes. Why should the mc or viewer care what happens to the city? Nobody knows, least the writers I assume. And then at the climax of the .. whatever it was .. an obvious bad guy shows up out of the blue without any previous characterization. Of course any remote semblance of a motive is delivered through a lengthy exposition dump by the bad guy bereft of any context. All in all a masterclass in atrocious episode writing. |

| There's this really annoying habit a lot of Isekai/Pseudo-Isekai seem to have where they base their entire concept on an idea to hook people... and then almost immediately ignore it. I like the idea, but instead of really making a story about just how farming skills have the guy OP, they don't even manage to stick to that for 5 minutes before going "oh actually his farming means he's instantly good at everything else because reasons and also he has an innate ability on top of that". Not only does this just make the show like every other OP protagonist, but it makes it less believable, because now the show is expecting me to buy that this is the first time someone with this ability (apparently common enough to have a name) has ever mastered something. Someone let me know if this gets unexpectedly good later, but for now it's an easy drop. |
