Did the anime cut Vueko’s romance?

In the manga Vueko and Pakkoyan are certainly more than friends and it explains why she sacrifices herself for Vueko but I’m pretty sure they cut that from the anime but I don’t remember for sure. Did they cut it, is it there or is there some substitute? I’m too lazy to go back and rewatch some episodes so someone help me out

Apparently they did. I read here that they were a lot more in the manga, which renders their final moments completely puzzling and random to people that are not aware of this. One of the many failures of mid in abyss 2nd season.

I don't watch as much anime as before...

in vuekos flashback , when she joined the ganja wazukyan appeared to a lot younger.

and in the flashback when vueko was telling the story of ilbullu wazukyan appeared to be a middle aged man .

so as long as it wasn't specified by author .. we can say theres a good chance vueko was an adult by the time they reached orth .

P.S. I doubt it was the blue haired girl and there was really no explanation in the manga of what they were really doing, it was just an image. ┐⁠(⁠ ⁠∵⁠ ⁠)⁠┌
We probably need a LN reference.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

yeah they did cut it out. they also cut out a part of reg and faputa’s flashback scene.

Cut it probably due to homophobia. It was a sex scene in the manga but they still could have shown them sleeping next to each other or something idk

I would say really one of the few failures! I didn't like that they adapted part of the big flashback at the beginning which spoiled that everyone turned into hollows but it probably makes it easier to follow for anime onlies. But besides those two the season was very faithful I think
