  • Pierre, Cedric, Jean, Charlotte and Albert are common names in France; Perre however is extremely rare (0.0008% of the population) and there is allegedly only 1 Falma in France and 23 Falma across Europe
  • Eléonore Bonnefoi and Élisabeth are written with French accents and spelling
  • Bonnefoi is French for 'good-faith'
  • Blanche is also French meaning 'white'
  • Élisabeth’ son Louis has a very common name for French monarchy, with a total of 18 kings of France named Louis and 1 emperor named Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte (Napoléon III)
  • The noble family of De Médicis is also an obvious reference to the Queens of France Marie and Catherine de Médicis
  • The Queen Eléonore is a reference to the Queen of France Éléonore de Habsbourg
  • Also they talk about Marseille in the 4th and 6th episode, a city in the south of France, calling it the "door to the Empire"
  • The Marquis of Châtillon is a reference to the city of Châtillon-sur-Seine in Côte d'Or, Bourgogne, France
  • They mention the "Kingdom of Holland" which was a puppet kingdom created by the Emperor of France Napoléon Bonaparte in 1806 but it has to be noted that monarchy was already "dead" by that time, as the French revolution happened before, so it can't be in the 19th century
  • In Ep. 19's intro, we see two people: Albert and Camus, a reference to Albert Camus a French writer born in 1913.. it's an anachronism :(
  • "Saint Fleuve" sounds french, however it is not a real place in France, unlike "Nobalt" which doesn't sound french but is actually inspired by Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat, a village in France ; Saint Fleuve might be inspired by it too to some extent, creating two fictional cities based on a single real one..
  • Using poisonous products to whiten your skin, and the Black Plague, are both things that really happened in France and across Western Europe
  • The inquisition was created in the 13th century in France but was removed by Louis IX in the late 13th, so it doesn't fit chronologically
  • In Ep. 19 at 13:52 we can see a heavily distorted map of Europe (where the UK doesn't exist lol), few names are written on it but the bottom right text and the fact that they live in an "Empire" lets me think it might be inspired by the 1st French Empire from 1804
  • Someone mentioned they saw the Coat of Arms of France and Navarre, which were used from 1589 to 1790, so it would definitely fit the context
  • The title "Parallel World Pharmacy" probably use the word "pharmacy" instead of 'drugstore', since it comes from the French word "pharmacie" itself coming from the Greek word "pharmakeía"; hence why the god has a Greek name and is called "medicamentos", based on French "médicament", itself on Latin "medicamentum", itself on Greek "mēdos"
  • In episode 10 at 06:28 we can see the arms of the Empire, it uses the fleurs-de-lis which are a staple of French monarchy

It seems quite obvious we're in France, in the Middle Ages.
Considering that Éléonore de Habsbourg was queen in 1530; that Catherine de Médicis was queen in 1547, and Marie in 1600 and that she had a son named Louis, and a daughter named Élisabeth:

This anime is inspired by the 16th and 17th century in medieval France; I guess.

I'll update this everytime a new episode releases and that I find new informations.

Well mapped and broken down. France I surmised, yes because of explicit place names and people's names being French (or very French-inspired; there may have been a few where they rearranged a few letters around intentionally) and the fact that France, Germany, and Britain are culturally kind of the big three most well-known "representatives" of Western Europe and Western European history and culture, both in Japan and to a lot of people internationally, so I've noticed a lot of their fantasy series, including recently and including isekai, tend to draw the most on these for cultural marking points like architecture, cuisine, etc. Whether they just incorporate them into a more nondescript mishmash of several different nationalities, styles, and periods, or they actually try to make them cohesively represent an alternative version of one time and place as they seem to be doing here.

Narrowing down the timeline is even more interesting, because that's the one I had more heavy doubts about. For some reason I assumed it to definitely be 18th century/1700s France (or an alternate world stand-in for and representing France) and thought it couldn't possibly be any earlier period like the 1500s or (at least early) 1600s. I think the fact that, apparently like a number of isekai protagonists, he's born into a wealthy, powerful, and influential aristocratic family right near the nerve center of power in the nation's royal capital with the fanciness of the estates and all that lovely city planning just evoked something closer to modernity - as in, still hundreds of years in the past but not extreme rustic hardcore medieval, but then, that's not really a valid line of thought since the Romans had superb city planning and urban spaces thousands of years prior.

I guess it's just because we haven't spent any time seeing where and in the conditions in which the majority of the commoner population must live in the smaller cities, towns, and rural areas (and probably even slums of the capital, if there are any) that it didn't give me that period feel, almost like I'm expecting more grime and grit from "medieval". We're seeing a very insulated section of it with the aristocracy/nobility/royals, which I suppose the vast majority of people would rather reincarnate into or experience vicariously then as some milkmaid on a muddy dairy farm.

No problem! If I'm not mistaken, it appears on the Church's main buildind. It appeared again right at the beginning of last episode.
