Does anyone have any expectations for the second season? Having a general idea of the contents of the second volume, I'm increasingly confident that KyoAni is going to turn this into a more Hibike-oriented Free successor. Bromance with Class S tropes, cute boys doing sport things, that's it. I have no doubt that it will be a good show, but I would still rather see more new and promising shows from them than another milking of all-female/all-male franchises for a stable source of income.

Then you don't have to watch it, next year there will also be a new season of the real Hibike.

Judging by the second volume, this will indeed become an even more male version of Hibike, no more.

What on Earth are you talking about? Hibike? The music animé? What does that have to do with anything? Tsurune is about archery, not music.

Whatever similarities exist between the 2, I watch Tsurune for the archery, the characters, the story and the animation.

I'm not expecting anything from S2 except all that made me love S1.

I perfectly explained why I compare it with Hibike. Tsurune is literally a Class S story with male characters instead of female ones. That's all. Read carefully, please.

To be honest, I kind of agree with you in that I wish they'd start doing more new content (I'm still waiting for them to put a release date to " 20th Century Electricity Catalog"). To be honest, of all of their dramas, I always found Tsurune to be the least good.

BUT!

What I mean by that is that they simply have an incredible backlog of great dramas under their belt, with both Hibike and Hyouka in my Top 5 animes. I still like Tsurune, so I'm just glad they're doing another drama again. Hope is better than season 1. I'm still excited about this :')

Didn't even expect that there will be a second season so I'm just happy that it's back. I'm hoping for soothing background music and beautiful animation of KyoAni.

Same thought! I still don't have the guts to watch Tsurune (due to it ultimately being the a reason of the incident) but I am still glad that they are still here animating! Although I did notice that their style changed (Dragon Maid S's animation was great, but the first season had a bit more fluid animation (due to it being a diff director) and the VE movie's lighting was a bit more gradient, or overall different than the TV series, to add up to that the teaser for Tsurune S2 I noticed how KyoAni emphasizes eyes now, which is fun! Still I still really love the studio so much, I haven't touched a single anime since this year lol since I'm also waiting for new content from Kyoani instead of sequels ^^.. I ranted a bit too much but anyways I will always be very patient for upcoming news from them !

I'd rather have CGDCT, not CBDCT, but oh well... It's KyoAni, so it will be very good at least. 1st season already was.

100% agree with you unfortunatley we are getting the worst of the best studio lol, it's not that it's bad but it's exctly as you say a average or slightly above average formulaic boderline boys love CBDCT ... well I'll probably follow it but looking forward to an average time at best so anything above that would come as a pleasant surprise

Tsurune has never been BL, it's almost on the edge of the male version of Hibike.

Reminds me of Run With the Wind but less exciting on the sports and the friendship aspect 😅

These are typical girl and boys zoo shows, where the viewer seems to be watching the idealized life and interaction of the opposite sex. The only difference is that KyoAni, being a female studio, went against the fujoshi mentality of the author and increased the role of female characters in Tsurune.
