Not a light novel reader but a manga reader here.

It is a lot like TenSura (the manga, haven't seen the anime of it yet), but instead of being the head of a large group as a slime and mostly staying in one place, the MC is a sword and the other MC wields it/him while travelling.

The teamwork between the two main leads in TenKen is just adorable, here's a screenshot from chapter 26:

Yes, there are villains who oppose her ideals, I can't say all too much about it because it's almost been a year ago that I started bingereading it and it fell a bit to the background afterwards, but hey it's at least a decent isekai.

Pls don't write animeS or mangaS >.< // + <50 man(g/hw/hu)a not in MAL. // Join my >manga club< here!

So if anything it's probably closer to those "Guy has to babysit/raise cute girl and it's wholesome" type of stories, like Usagi Drop, SpyXfamily, and Yakuza from this season. But it's in a fantasy setting and the MC is a sword.
For what it's worth, it's well executed, and i really enjoyed the read. Just like TenSura though, don't let the wacky title and premise distract you from the fact that it can be a really interesting story.

You are mostly right except for the "wholesome" part. The cat girl suffers a hell lot in the story, I suspect some of the more extreme scenes may get censored in the anime.

This story has a LOT of tragic moments.

I read the LN, I'll write here what you can expect:

Her style is pure adventure, taking One Piece as an example, where the protagonists travel from island to island, and each one has great challenges, Ken Deshita is basically the same style, the two MCs travel from city to city, with great challenges each, and the plot is being worked on as they adventure.

Both the MC (sword) and the FMC (user) are charismatic, the FMC is that type of character who speaks little, but who manages to win you over, having moments that are cute, merciless, responsible, childish, etc... we'll see her go through a lot, and grow a lot as the work progresses. She will guide the story forward, in fact, we can even consider her the true protagonist, because she is the one who will interact with that world, decide the actions they will take, and so on. The MC is exactly what it is, a sword, he will serve more as a moral support, adviser, friend, father, and obviously in fights as it is her weapon.

The interaction between the two is really good to see, due to the circumstances, the MC means a lot to FMC, the friendship and parental relationship between the two is perceptive. The more the work goes on, the more it captivates you, it got to the point that I rooted for FMC as if it were my own daughter lol.

Speaking of fights, from what I remember, the vast majority are very complicated fights, despite the MC being a very strong sword, and the FMC evolving very quickly in terms of combat power, practically every fight you feel tension and excitement . Although the two MCs are strong, the enemies are equally, or even stronger than them, so there's no need to worry about overpower, you can be sure that the MCs will suffer a lot in 90% of the fights.

For those who want to know a little more about the plot, using One Piece again as an example, where Luffy and the crew are after the big goal, here again it's the same style. The FMC has a goal they want to achieve, and they will go after that goal, in the meantime they will have other plots, such as the mysteries behind the MC, antagonists, and so on. Who likes this style of One Piece, and works of pure adventure in general, Ken Deshita is a full plate.

The work has manga and novel, as well as other parallel versions. I read the novel by preference, as it is the original material, much more detailed in information than in the manga version. But who prefers to read manga, I highly recommend it too, despite losing in details, like every novel adaptation, I think her art is very good, much better than the novel.

I believe that's all I have to say, the work is gigantic, and even though I've read more than 600 chapters, I still don't see it near the end. For those who like a good adventure, a great work with a good story to follow, in addition to a well-built world, which the author makes a point of never forgetting characters or things he had previously presented, you can go without fear, because it is one of the best works of the genre.

I've read both the light novel and the manga, this is an accurate summary, well done and thank you!

It isekai father-daugter relationship. i am big fan of father-daughter relationship likes SpyxFamily and Yotsubato bc it's just full of wholesomeness. but sadly, this is isekai and as regular isekai there is lot of fan service.
I don't mind some fansevices if the story really good i.e "Maid Dragon", but the story nowhere as good as that. but if you likes isekai i think this worth a try since it's one of popular isekai and has sold 2 million copies as march 2023.

Wait... Have you read the same thing as i did? Cause there is barely any of what you call "Fan Service" in this story. And there's more in the the manga than in the Novel, which the anime is based on.

I've read through LN 7... and I have enjoyed that, and the first 3 episodes are good adaptations of the LN. The 1st episode cuts short the time the sword is developing but gets the main points across at the cost of lost sense of time spent... but it is worth it to get into the meat of the show instead of spending say 3 episodes with just the sword.

The adventure and plot are similar to one piece or other adventuring animes. The pacing should remain good if they follow the LN in the same way they are currently... it won't have bad pacing like One Piece.

The character specific developments are clearly isekai as its literally RPG game level up mechanics.

There is enough content currently released for at least 4-5 seasons and a ton of that is awesome battles and many really cool characters and unique places. there are also clear climaxes for each season already setup within the LN's story.... by the time each season comes out they should have enough content for 5-6 seasons, since the author is releasing about 2 LN per year. There is also a side story LN series also being written as well in tandem... so spin off / continuation animes are also a possibility. So, as far as content its pretty much setup perfectly from the start... unlike some shows that run out of gas after a few seasons and have to wait on the author.

I am hoping there will be a DUB because thats the only way some of my friends will watch it... there is little overt fan service in the LN and just about everything of that nature is a jab at the author or sword and is done in jest. It doesn't take fan service seriously... which is a good thing IMO.

All in all I would call it an Adventuring Isekai Slice of Life Battle Junkie anime...
