don't watch it if you don't like it. I'll probably drop it soon if the story doesn't move forward

Yes...that's how old he is. Lol. They treat him like an adult because anime. Most anime are based around children, but they don't seem like children at all. That's normal.

Having read the manga and light novels Kyoushi is actually a 40 year old man in a coma. This is all his coma dream.

Or it’s a cartoon. Don’t let your parents hear you swear like that again.

Kyoushi isn't a real person, he gets treated the way the author wants him to be treated. He has no say in the matter nor does he have any feelings good, bad or indifferent as he isn't real.
There's no need for all this tension.

Well He is in his first year of middle school. And in Japan normally 12-13 year old are more likely to be in first year of middle school.

Boys... it's a harem , and shota for one, what can we really expect here , its not too bad but they gotta ditch the falling on to the pussi punchline it's getting to old and repetitive , but i picked up the manga and it seems that won't happen anytime soon, anyways the plot does seem to slowly progress , and I'm looking forward to what'll happen next ,.btw i hate that Little violent brat i hope they ditch her or this show will lose what good it had going
I'm a monogatari enthusiast to the core...and i like some wholesome stuff too

This is a harem with Shota MC. So what do you expect from this type of anime?? healthy relationship?? This is an anime watched only for fanservice. if you don't like this type of harem, just don't watch it.

This anime is basically: pedophilia but it's OK pedophilia since it's a bunch of attractive women.

Dude its a work of fiction so the age doesn't really apply to the real world's laws

I've never heard of a bigger bullshit. Either you don't mind it anywhere or you just do mind. Disgusting double standards

I was being sarcastic, since a lot of people here are hyping this anime up but would be disgusted if it was a young girl with a bunch of guys.

Anime has always made teenagers, pre-teens and kids act as adults. Since forever. And now it's a problem for you? XD

The real answer is because of Japanese storytelling. In Japanese culture, adult life is considered to be mundane and boring. Japanese teens cry when high school is over because it's like "now, the fun is over and I'm an adult with a boring life." Unlike in the west where we're: "now I'm done with this boring crap and my life actually starts."

That's why they often attribute unrealistic qualities to kids, basically. Think of Naruto or JJK - top popular shows. Who in their right mind would think they're all like 12 or so...?

Well, he is definitely the most mature out of all of them, despite his age.
